My grandson is participating in the the 4U coed basketball program. The coach and assistant coach are wonderful with the children, and they are really enjoying learning to play.

The staff were not friendly

Really poor experience when trying to host a birthday party here. There was zero communication between the person who took our reservation and our deposit and the staff that were actually working the front desk. They had zero notice, nothing was planned, it was a scramble on the front desk staff to setup out room. This is not a poor reflection on the front desk staff, they worked very hard to try to make everything great. The managers of this location let down a lot of people today, including their employees.

Very poor personal conduct from the staff such a shame when the YMCA is supposed to represent and embrace equality and respect. Their manner is not conducive to the ethics The YMCA is known for. New Members be aware.

I would give a better rating as I thought this was going to be a great investment for my family but due to not having a checking account, we have been excluded from membership. Of course I have already paid the joining fee as well as 3 months of service for them to wait until now to tell me that I cannot continue my membership without a checking account. I also have two children who are enrolled in sports who are going to be very disappointed. I guess if you have a checking account the membership is nice to have, but beware that depending on who you talk to on any particular day, their policies may change

Highly recommend any parents-especially with small children to find another YMCA or gym other than this one. The childcare center is really concerning for a few reasons. 1) the sign in system is reliant only on the staff members memory of who's child belongs to what parent, which brings me to number 2) they are incredibly understaffed and 3) their method of alerting parents to get their child or baby that has been upset for an extended period of time is to physically walk into the gym to find them (all the times I have went there have only been 1-2 staff members and more infants that need to be held than are available-not to mention the ages 3+ kids!
I have taken my 6 month old and 3 year old a total of 3 times hoping I just saw an off day, or maybe was being overly critical of the whole environment and each experience kept getting worse. The second trip I had to stop a small child from leaving the room as I was entering which the staff members didn't even notice. My 6 month old son had apparently been crying for a long time and he had a blow out diaper that was already drying he had been in it for so long as well as a large scrape down his leg that was red and raised. No explanation. A couple weeks later I thought I would give it one more try and this time there was only one staff member and a volunteer and possibly 15 kids under the age of 6. The equipment is FILTHY and as I walk in to pick my kids up the volunteer is changing his diaper and putting it on backwards on top of a changing table pad that used to be white I'm assuming, but was covered in old stains. Most of the baby equipment has literal dust on it and I don't know how often they clean the room! I also noticed a small child probably around 2 eating goldfish and trying to hand them to babies younger than she. Kids should be eating snacks supervised and in a contained area away from younger children.
Honestly, the list actually goes on and on. I think the staff in the room are doing the best they can, but management should be staffing these rooms correctly and NEED to update the check in/out system and thoroughly clean the room FOR STARTERS.
