I have a been a student for more than 5 years. So far, I have learned that anyone can be good at anything that they are willing to practice.
Not a good place. Greedy owner. Incompetent instructors. Hard pass!

Excellent establishment to take ur kiddos! My son has Autism is full of energy and moves to his own "beat". Lol Conan is amazing in working with him and patient in teaching him!! Highly suggest for parents, children and Adults!
Conan's Academy is a great martial arts school that offers many different disciplines. My family and I have been part of the school for the past five years. Whether you plan to compete or just get in shape and have fun, Conan's Academy has a great family atmosphere. I have never been to another martial arts school in the Oklahoma City area that has comparable facilities or that has such a wide variety of classes to offer.
First off, Conan's Academy keeps me focused, on time, feeling energetic and healthy. The training requires you to push yourself regularly which makes it easier to push yourself in all other aspects of your life.
Second, is the gym itself, it's in the heart of downtown Norman, easy commute, I like the facility. The gym is huge and there's plenty of equipment for everyone to work out with, in fact I've never seen it so full that anyone is waiting around. There's also a weight area in the back that is open for members to train with. The changing room is clean and there is a shower if your in a rush. Cardio equipment is great too. Also two (big square and a smaller octagon) well kept rings to spar in.
Conan knows what he's doing and will help you as far as you're trying to push yourself. Also Blake kills it with classes and instructing. There are other trainers there as well but I haven't had personal experience with them.
Anyway totally recommended. Attending Conan's has been a huge improvement to my life.
The person who gave one star did not read the contract. Conan's academy allows anyone to join other gyms. You can join other gym's at the same time, totally your decision. The Confidentiality Clause just states that you can't open another Martial Arts School within 100 miles, teaching Conan's Systems while learning at the school or after 3 years of leaving our gym. This is a matter of Code of Ethics which most Martial Art Business's have.

This looks like a great place to work out and learn martial arts, but they have you sign a contract that states at least two things: one is that you cannot learn a technique and teach it to others, for you can be sued if you do; and two is that you cannot join another dojo for at least one year if you leave them, you can be sued for this as well. This contract has been well thought out to keep people coming once they sign it. It is almost unreadable to someone who is not a lawyer.
