Its NOT a good place for kids to learn boxing or anything else positive.
I wish there was a zero star option for this place, so ask around the local boxing circles in town before you take your kids there and you will see what I say is TRUTH!!

I was an "at risk" youth when I was young- there wasn't anyone like Coach Harry or IBC around my neighborhood (I wish there was- could've helped the old neighborhood a lot!)
I went to IBC as a 40+ year old local Teamster Trucker, who finally quit smoking after doing in for 33 years and putting on about 40-45 lbs in the process of doing it. I needed to get back in shape- doctors should prescribe the IBC!
From what I have seen there, the place means the world to a lot of people for different reasons, and positivity and hard work (self accomplishment) are contagious there.
God Bless the IBC, Coach Harry, all staff, all sponsors and all boxers who make the place so +

I wouldn't say Harry is a good mentor for kids. As much as the website talks about empowering youth and providing an alternative to the streets with my childs experience he went completely against that. When I signed him up for the program I explained he would only be able to make it two days a week instead of three and Harry said that was fine. He missed a few days over the past five months, three of them he had the flu, and on Monday he told my son if he missed another day he would tell him to turn around and walk back out those doors the next time he came in. He completely humiliated him in front of the other kids. My son is not a disrespectful kid. He never once contacted me to let me know there was a problem. I asked him why he would kick a kid out of the program without speaking with his parents about the problem first he said he's not there to call kids parents. My son isn't an at risk child but I think that's a good way push an at risk child back to the streets and discourage them from changing their life around. I think Harry is a bully rather than a role model and mentor to kids.

Website says "new address" @ 525 Earlwood Ave, Oregon, OH. Bottom of website says the same, numbers listed are disconnected.

Found 2 addresses on maps for them, went to one of them. Got to "class" 30 minutes late, gentlemen states he's not conducting class bc we are 30 mins late (& also reason for not answering his phone an hour prior to class bc he is busy training).

Very curt and said they were having class the next night. I stated I tried to be on time but their site has the wrong address and disconnected phone numbers. He also was not training anyone (was not having class and there was no one training).

I'd rather eat sugar free gummy bears and run a marathon on a 110F 100% humid day than give them my time or money.
