When I became serious about my dream to become a yoga instructor I found yogaah and Amber. I contacted her with my excitement, because of the level of tradition in the yoga practice.
Struggling financially she opened up the opportunity to trade to help with my payments.
I finished my training feeling amazing about myself, Amber is super supportive to everyone in her path.
Our goal was function over form and learning to have patience with my body and mind.
I also had the opportunity to go to Costa Rica for my rocket training, 7 days of surfing, yoga, food and fun.
Amazing studio, amazing women, amazing staff. (:

I had a great experience with the class itself and yoga instructor Hope! As somebody who has only done yoga a few times I was a little hesitant about it. It turned out to be wonderful! I felt comfortable with the instructions Hope was giving and it was a very uplifting and relaxing environment. I will definitely be back and recommend this studio and instructor!

Dont come here if you're a beginner. I'm an advanced practitioner and a teacher but I brought my teenage daughter to try and get here into yoga and took a class that was described on their website as beginner friendly but the teacher did absolutely nothing but call out the poses at a fast pace with no modification suggestions or alignment cues whatsoever. She also was calling out advanced positions like half lotus, warrior three without blocks and reverse trikoasana on the fly. I tried to help my daughter as much as I could without disrupting class because of course being new to yoga she was just trying to force her leg into lotus and do these advanced twists. The instructor said after class that too mamy alignment cues can be disrupting for a beginner but there's a big difference between no cues and just a few and if a class is supposed to be beginner friendly it needs cues and modifications and not whipping in and out advanced poses. Its unsafe and you can injure yourself. My daughter left feeling bad about herself saying she couldn't do yoga. Just not a good studio for beginners.

An excellent yoga center located in the heart of Northside! Much love and gratitude to this yoga studio and teachers. After all the years of practicing yoga, I always bring myself back to what I've learned with Amber and her classes. I always feel completely refreshed and renewed after the classes. The great vibes also keep you coming back for more!!

Yoga Ah is a great studio filled with experience and knowledge! I have learned so much from going here! It is a fun filled environment that is also challenging and allows you to break through your own walls. Yoga Ah is great for developing your personal practice and the loyalty and consistency of those who attend classes displays this. Highly recommend

I took my 200hr teacher training here and the whole experience taught me way more than I could've expected. (Although one of the first lessons was to not expect anything) ;) Amber has a really relaxed and friendly approach to teaching students how to teach others...and just in her classes in general--probably because she's been doing it for so long!!! I really suggest Yoga Ah if you're looking for an authentic, traditional yoga studio in Cincinnati. Great for advanced practices and beginners just the same. The space is also wonderful and intimate!!! If you're new to yoga and thinking about trying it just do it. I could go on...

I have known about yoga for many years. I'd heard great things about it, and I just shrugged it off. I was more into boxing or Insanity or P90X type stuff because of the amazing and fast results. But, after my last go round with Insanity I realized how much I really didn't enjoy the pain of it all. My joints screamed at me every time I did it, and yeah I looked great but felt miserable. I have watched my best friend and a few other I've known start with yoga only to fall in love with it. My friend finally sold me on it because she goes 6 days a week. I decided if someone could love it that much then I HAD to at least give it a try.

I go to the Sunday class right now because it is for beginners. My stretch level is pretty much the opposite of Gumby right now. I have not worked out in a couple of years, and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep up. Amber is the teacher and she explained everything in an easy way to understand. She also told me if I were doing something incorrectly and that really helped. We did several techniques and the class lasted for an hour.

At the end of the workout, we did a meditation. She walked us through that and we had soft relaxing music playing in the background. Towards the end she had us close our eyes and just be present in the here and now. I can't tell you when the last time was that I physically just stopped myself. I had to make myself stop thinking, and that's not an easy task for me. We chanted some OM's together a few times and everything just synched so nicely.

After class my friend and I went to lunch and she said she can't remember the last time I had ever looked so relaxed. To tell the you the truth, I can't remember either! I absolutely loved it, and now I'm excited to go every Sunday when I can get over there. Sunday is a $5 donation class!

It's only $13 for drop in classes, And if you love it as much as I do, you can look into their packages! If you've been wanting to check it out, you definitely should.... take that from an adrenaline junkie!

I took a Rocket Teacher Training course with Amber Gean at Yoga ah! and absolutely loved it. Amber was welcoming, encouraging, and enthusiastic about Rocket and really figured out who we were (as students) and what we needed to progress. I appreciated her deep knowledge and extensive experience with yoga, especially Rocket yoga. She really responds to her students and provides awesome adjustments and suggestions. I thought the class was worth it and I look forward to going back to her studio for another class soon!
