The worst gym ever. You can never find empty equipment. They will steal your money anyway they can. If you cancel your membership, they will not stop it and take more money, and won't refund you unless you provide a copy of the cancelation. Think about joining another gym.
This is the best fitness/gym I've found in the area for me. I will try and touch upon a number of items in this review. I'm in my 40s and have been at this location for over a year and work out 2 or 3 times a week on average. I'm self motivated and do my own workouts.
Equipment: I usually work out during the day and have never had an issue getting on equipment. One of the reasons I left Fitness Connection is the overcrowding. It has a mixture of older and new equipment, but as long as it's functional it's good for me. The do a decent job of fixing equipment in a timely manner.
Staff: The best thing about this place. The staff is always helpful and attentive. They are rarely ever out of towels and the place is clean. Yasmine is a shinning star, super friendly and always working to make the place better. Every class I've taken here (mostly cycle) has had quality instructors.
Facilities: One of the reasons I travel about 20 minutes to this place is that they have a sauna, which at times has been closed for repair but they understand a lot of members need the sauna after a workout. It's usually a member pouring liquids into the heater that causes the breakdown. I would still say the up time has been over 90%. They have just changed an area to have more leg/squat equipment and changed the flooring in several areas.
Classes: I'm not an expert on classes as I've only done cycle but I would say they are about the same as most gyms. Instructors are friendly, qualified and do a good job of motivating you.
Update: The updated the sauna (new walls and floors) in the fall of 2019 and it has been up 100%.
Fantastic options, friendly staff, great trainers, and new facility renovations! I recommend Lifetime University. Give them a try.

This gym is very affordable. There is a lot of equipment, though it is not always working. Towels are available to guests most of the time, but sometimes they run out. It is packed during peak hours, but not at all before 4pm or on weekends. Classes sometimes happen during peak hours using gym equipment. There are many TVs with sports on.
I was a member, left only because I moved from the area. Andrew, and Rod are great trainers. Andrew was my personal trainer he helped me reduce my weight and develop lean muscle. He took great care in working with me a heart patient but he never swayed from pushing me.
The Wah Way he calls it! It works! The gym atmosphere is inviting, active and it is clean and diverse. The sauna was good, area of improvement is getting equipment repaired faster once broken. Overall, great gym great staff!
The staff is horrible. Very rude when I came inside for my 1 day pass. The first lady acted like she didn't know what a "drop in" was, and then the man who processed my card was scolding me the whole time about going to a different gym lol like it's not that serious. Unproffesional
The gym is smaller in size. The vibe is mediocre
People just sitting around on the machines having God knows what conversations about nothing...while I'm here trying to get a workout in.

This Life Time location has a great hours, staff, and is never too busy! It's very simple since it's a bronze club, but that's never stopped me from getting a workout in!

The trainers are all professional and demonstrate a genuine care for the members and their health goals.... very clean, clean towels are provided , the sauna is nice, and the classes are great! I only gave it 4 starts bcuz the water fountain is always hot as hell...aeems like they ain't tryin 2 fix that ..if they had cold water is give it a 5 but since I got to remember to bring it it get a 4 lol

I'm very pleased with my experience so far! I wish they had more classes and a stronger AC but other than that I'm very happy. Who knew treadmills can come with solitaire??

Never signed up but went in to inquire. The person helping me was nice but pushy and after I left I got emails for weeks afterward. Really put me off from joining.
STAY AWAY! The staff is so rude and unprofessional, and they really don't care about their members. There is no air conditioning, and the equipment is always broken. This gym is a waste of time. I have been working out for over 20 years and this is by far the worst gym I have ever been to in my entire life. DON'T DO IT!
I am a member in Utah, and I had to go out there for work. I was pleasantly surprised that they have a ltf in Charlotte. This place is exactly like the one I had visited in Denver. Ltf is the best gym in the country bar none. They are always consistent and clean.

Member for 4 years. Decent overall experience until attempting to use yoga room and being mocked and rudely told to leave. Equipment takes a long time to be repaired. Cardio area feels like a sauna.
I've been a member of this gym for well over a year and I'm very disappointed in how things keep getting worse! Broken equipment seems to become more regular. The hygiene used to impress me greatly. Now, everytime I go it seems there is stuff being neglected in the locker/bathrooms. Empty dispensers for wipes on the floor. Hardly anyone checks the floor where I spend most my time (mats, foam rollers area off to the side). There are CONSTANTLY no mats and equipment left everywhere. And nevermind if you want to use something and there is a class during that time. They take over a quarter of the floor of half of the stretching area to the side! Nevermind the loud music played, it's very rude to the members without trainers. And the sink's water temperature! I burned myself once just putting the temp to warm. I warned them, was told it was being looked into, and still the water gets really hot, fast.
I'm the type to return found items and report issues. I've done so several times. I clean my area and do my best not to get into people's way. I'm just kinda over trying as hard now.
I had no true complaints when I started here. Sad how it keeps going down hill.
Although, I do have to say there are still some good merits, hence the 3 star. I love the no contracts and size. It's the reasons I joined a gym 20 miles from where I live. And, for the most part, the other people using the gym are very respectable and not bothersome. I also got locked in at a good rate, though I understand no one can get that rate anymore.
I would love to see the hygiene return to the level it was at when I joined. Also, it would be nice to see the newer, filtered water fountains like other places have. And some more mats for those who do stretch properly. The photos below I snapped in two different days this week. Several areas looked that way.
Edit: I would like to add, though this issues are bugging me, it's still worth it to me to stay as this is the only gym within a 30 mile radius with this much equipment and no contracts. If the above issues were resolved, it would easily go back to a 5 star in my mind.

Some of the trainers harass customers for working out together, claiming they need to pay for a trainer. The equipment breaks constantly and RARELY gets fixed. Most the time it gets removed. Even benches are missing screws and the seats fall off. The heat has been messed up since December. A front desk attendant claimed it was new rules..they wouldn't even turn off the fans and it was 55- 60degrees inside the gym. On the super cold days people were lifting in their coats! It has been 3 MONTHS and the hot yoga studio and cycle rooms STILL do not have heat. They also play very...different music now throughout the gym. Soft and mellow..not motivational or upbeat. I have had multiple friends complain about it, and many leave due to all these things.
Also, Some of the staff is Incredibly rude now as well. I used to look forward to working out daily. Now I only go for yoga. I am looking for a new gym that is at least WARM with more working equipment. The ONLY reason this gym gets 2 stars.. Melissa the yoga teacher rocks, she even brought in a heater for yoga trying to beat the cold.
And one of the custodians , an older gentleman is very polite.

Over the last 6 months I've been a member I've never had any issues.All of the members are cool people, and the staff is always friendly. Always clean equipment. Always has clean towels ready. Sauna well kept. Lockers are convenient you don't need to bring a lock.
This is absolutely the worst gym organization ever. They will cheat and lie and manipulate to get you to sign up to a club that is not even real! Then when you realized you have been scammed they will make it impossible to cancel! Please please buyer beware! These are really awful people with zero integrity!!!

I don't waste your money here. I never once saw them cleaning gym equipment. They need more free weights. You spend too much time going where's the 5s or 10s or 25s. The water in the shower will take your skin off! The gym could be really nice.
I joined Life Time Fitness during the winter and liked it, but when the weather started heating up outside the gym got REALLY warm. It is impossible to stay on a cardio machine for longer than 15 minutes. (I am not a large person and I do not sweat that much, ever.) The front of the gym is cooler (where the sales people sit) but in the back, where the cardio machines are, it might be about 85 degrees. I will be cancelling my membership.
This gym has everything you need and there air conditioned is now fixed! The equipment is not the newest or the best maintained but there is an awful lot of it. They did get quite a bit of new cardio machines. Some stuff in there is quite old though. The wifi works very well. This gym is not overcrowded in my opinion so you don't usually have to wait for machines except for maybe at primetime Staff is decent First gym where I have seen the entire staff working out which I find interesting. Not bad, but interesting. (I would never want to spend one second in my job I did not have to LOL) The best part of this gym is without a doubt the girls. Some of the most beautiful women I have ever seen workout at this gym.
34.95 for very old equipment broken equipment. Nothing gets replaced or fixed. They broke one of their 3 stairmills and never replaced it. They are not spending a penny in this gym. Instead of having a maintenance guy fixing the equipment, they have 2 or 3 people who sit at a desks pushing memberships. If this was a 10$ gym it would be decent. I have left lifetime and joined both Planet fitness and Fitness Connection (basic membership at both) for a cheaper price (including startup fees and annual fees). Two gyms for the price of one and both are much nicer in my opinion. Planet does not have best equipment but very well maintained. FC university has 18 stairmills much more equipment. Lifetime is gonna be out of this location unless they drop the price for everyone not just students.
