The gym is nice, clean and convenient- staff seems pleasant enough but TVs are always broken as well as some equipment which is annoying- also my gym membership fee is increased every year without notice which I feel is very shady for which is supposed to be a reputable sports club! Shame on them!!

In a environment of more and more gym facilities, NYSC remains a real classic gym environment for those serious about fitness and none of the "frills". Been a member for 19 years. For those that felt it more productive to trash your gym facility, ask yourself have I really been a part of the change I seek? Have I practiced proper gym etiquette and contributed to my gym ? Anyone can walk in and request a printed copy of your Agreement. Within it, you will find reference to everything you complain about here. Take the time to understand what you are signing up for rather than misrepresent on here. I know a different NYSC than most here, and I'm here to #MakeitCount and be a part of real change.
This location is falling apart. The machines are old and the place is messy most of the time. I signed up for the plan that apparently would allow me to "cancel any time". Make sure you read and understand the fine print... It takes 45 days to cancel the membership + $10 fee. So 2 more months of membership fees just to cancel "anytime". Ridiculous. Overall, I would not join this location again and recommend to look elsewhere.
Update: I was told that I would need a medical note stating that I was unable to workout due to my current injury. Got that note, then was told that the note needs to include the line "unable to use to club for 6 months of more". Later received an email stating my request was not processed due to lacking the 6 month line. Frustrated beyond belief at this point due to having to run around I call the number provided in the email and they were finally able to cancel my membership. The person I spoke to was very helpful. It shouldn't be this hard to cancel a gym membership, especially when severe medical issues are involved.
Very convenient, to my location lots of room to workout and people are mucho Friendly.
Had a great experience today with Andrew damas, Bobby Dorrian and Ashley this morning. I asked their names so I could take time to write this. They were very informative and provided adequate information regarding options for my family members. They have continued to stay in touch with me regarding promotions and sign up deals. Referred my girlfriend to them today and could not have asked for a better experience is was quick and they even helped me set up the app. Phenomenal experience with these young professionals. I do have a couple of minor issues with the club but nothing to do with the great team present this morning. Jackie the trainer is great as is Val!!

This place would be much better if they actually took the money they make (and they make a lot) and actually FIX things that are broken. There is no reason why a machine or a suana should be broken for 2+ weeks. Seriously take some pride in your gym and fix the things that break. It's like they don't care. If this was a Manhattan location I'm sure it wouldn't be like this. Side note, love all of the yoga instructors. Marie, Gina and Karin are all great.

This sports clubs has been my home for a few years now. It is a great gym, with everything that you need to progress in your fitness goals. The staff is really great and greets you with joy. The equipment is fairly new and enough machines and weights. I would recommended it.

This is my home GYM and the staff and the facility is excellent. They are always there to help and keep the place extra clean. The staff are very knowledgeable and are always there to answer any questions. Great GYM!!!

Super friendly and clean gym! It pretty has everything you need when it comes to free weights and cardio machines. The sauna and showers are a plus!
When attempting to join I was worried my gym partner would be unable to gain the same promotion as I, most other gyms would shrug and call it a day and say better luck next time. Not this gym though, we had extensive help from the staff to make sure she got the promotion when signing up by communicating to us when the next opportunity was and what were our options were till then. Thank you again NYSPC of Glendale!

The overall look of the gym is very outdated and so are the machines and working out areas. Lockers and working stations are not as clean as they should be. The staff is not trained on memberships, packages or customer service skills. Management lacks experience and professionalism. Trying to cancel the membership is an ordeal. I wouldn't recommend this location to anybody
In our opinion, the NYS Club on Glendale is a great place to work out, but the management and staff members sucks specially one of the Personal trainer, his name is Angel gives us an attitude, first of all the gym is a small place to workout and he used all the space and we can't do anything at all because of him, he was very nasty and very disrespectful to us, he came to us with an attitude and snapping his fingers saying to get out of the area that he has a class going on at the moment, he didn't even said please, this guy doesn't have maners not costumer skills at all, knowing that they could go to Forest Hills Location to train people since over there is a big place. I don't recommend to go to this gym and workout with this guy, he doesn't have education.

Use to be a great place to work out between paying a high membership & parking and the service declining, it's just not worth it. Most of the trainers are not experienced. Employees are always changing. The machines are very dusty if they're working. The showers are not stocked properly or clean. I also had to take an ice cold shower 2 days in a row before work. Very dissatisfied.
Good customer service, the general manage was friendly and helpful p with providing a solution with my issues with the billing. In addition, the gym is always clean and the staff have always been friendly.
I'd give 0 stars if I could. They increased my monthly membership fee without any notification, so I called and tried to speak to the manager but of course he wasn't there as usual. The person at the front dest took a message for me and promised the manager will give me a call back to explain why my fee was increased. Guess what, no one called back, ever. A week later I call again and ask to speak to a manager and explained my issue, the girl put me on hold for like 5 minutes. After she picked up again she had answer to my question, she explained that every member is getting and increase on their membership fee, which is a lie because none of my friends did. Also, she said that they did send letter in mail to notify everyone, which is a lie again, no one that I know there for a letter from them!
So I tried to cancel my membership with them over the phone - guess what, it can only be done in person, so that they could drain some more money from you by the time you make it to the GYM. Very unprofessional, I'm very disappointed with them.
Terrible customer service. It's also seems like the manager ( a women I've been getting told) is never there. Called multiple times to resolve an issue and no manager was on site 3 different times. Called early in the morning one day and was told the manager doesn't come in til 11:30. I just called and even though I asked the managers shift which I was told "usually 11-6" it was 5:55 and the manager had already left the site. So not only does the managers apparently come late, they also leave early! Terrible management I've come to see so far. Also I signed up for a "supposedly" $1 charge for the rest and February and get March free. After the fact I check my card and I've been charged for this month of march a week ago. This is a scam company with terrible management and customer service! I can't believe the scam they sell and currently have on there site! Get the rest of this month for $1 and get next month free! You DO NOT GET THE NEXT MONTH FREE!! I used my card for me and my spouse and was charged for both FREE months. Now my account is overdrafted and this has caused me more than an inconvenience. To top it off every time I call there is no managers to be found! Sounds like they don't want to answer the phones knowing there company is scamming people and charging unauthorized payments on people accounts!

this gym's customer service HORRIBLE!
i went there 4 times looking for a supervisor and every single time there was no supervisor on site. I finally went in and waiting until the supervisor on duty was supposed to be there an he showed up 30 minutes late. His name was ERIC. my husband and I cancelled our membership that day. He took our key cards and everything even though i have a remaining month left on my membership as they needed 30 days to close the account. i go on to find that 3 months later my husband's account was never closed. I called today and they advised that though they made an error they will not be able to give us our money back for the months he was no longer supposed to be a member. When i asked to speak to someone above that supervisor they advised that they will forward my message and they will get back to me at THEIR earliest convenience.

The manager is extremely welcoming and helpful. Thank you Nastazja Wasilewski for giving my family an excellent experience at this gym.
This gym offers good classes, Zumba(for my girlfriend), fat burn, a punching bag that I love to use and many more.
However, there are some things that need to be changed. The televisions on the treadmills don't all work properly, the back lifting machine knee adjuster is jammed on one of the machines and I noticed some of the windows are kind of dirty. Dust needs to be cleaned more often on some of the machines. I have a great monthly deal, so I am still happy with going there. To the managers/owners of this establishment, please stop being complecent with everything I mentioned and get it fixed. My promise to you, is that I will have a better review to share in the future.

Terrible gym - filthy & equipment everywhere. Equipment is always broken as well as the sauna. I've been trying to cancel my membership for over two months now but the manager is NEVER available whether I call in or walk in. The only good thing about this gym are the trainers. Respectful and helpful at all times. Can't blame them for terrible management.
Costumer service is the worst. The manager is an imbecile, i was given no notice that my monthly charge was increasing (from $29-$39) and when I signed up, they told me I could cancel at anytime- this wasn't the case.
Terrible! Terrible! Terrible!!!!! Worst customer service ever. I have gotten charged after a month of canceling my membership and still getting charged!!! I can never get through to a manager, its absolutely ridiculous. They will rob you if you sign up with them. Don't do it!
Very clean, smells good and equipped with ample workout machines and classes. I enjoy my working out here.
