Good gym. Many different simulators, good trainers with which you can deal individually. Large area for workout.
Group classes are held in the morning and evening, the schedule can be viewed on the club's website.
There is a children's room but the opening hours are not very convenient - until 12 pm and after 5 pm. Closes at 8pm. Sometimes the children's room does not work. Sometimes the babysitter from the children's room is sick and we skip training in the gym because children under 13 are not allowed there.

Horrible gym. I cancelled my membership, paid the cancellation fee, and I am still receiving charges from this gym. I also tried calling so that I stop getting charged and had someone hang up on me instead of helping me out.

The club is a filthy place to the point that I have no desire to go there.
Dirty floors and towels everywhere. The showers are dirty and will not work properly.
I wonder if the management and the cleaning personnel simply collect their paychecks
and not giving a damn about the place, the quality, the reputation, the business.

I already reviewed the gym but also want to add that the cell service is horrible in the gym, at least for Tmobile. I dont know the service for other providers. The gym should add cell phone signal booster to fix this or faster wifi that can work at peak hours. Current wifi is very slow even when gym isn't packed.

After you close the membership they still take money from your card. Be aware!

It's clean, better than some other gyms in the area, not that crowded and they provide towel services. Other gyms in the area because of the lower prices are packed and it usually takes a longer time to get your workout done. Also comparing to other gyms I've notices that they've got less of the broken equipment and if the equipment is broken, it get fixed pretty fast.

The management in this place is the worst. I have cancelled my membership back on February. They told me that everything went through and I dont have to worry about anything. They did say that I will be charged for next 1.5 months because they require 45 days notice... fine, I went along with it. 2 months go by, and they are still charging me. I have called them back asking whats going on, they told me my account is still active. I asked them to stop charging me and remove my membership. They refused to cooperate, so I called my bank and asked them to stop transaction from this merchant. Couple more months go by, since they cant charge my directly, they found some other way around to keep taking my money... They are literally the worst, I will never go back to NYSC and I hope everybody else stays away from them.

Requested my membership be cancelled. Never happened - months went by and they were still charging me without notice. Had to dispute the charges, had a decision made in my favor, yet they still managed to fraudulently attempt to charge me through a different club. Place is a joke, from management, to corporate.

This is a great place to work out. I get here in the late evening. It's quiet and peaceful. The place clean and there are plenty of machine available. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Gym is not bad. For me there are couple bad things about this gym. During rush hours it's impossible to workout normally, it gets reallly packed. Other thing is they don't tell you this: they increase the membership payment every 11 months by $5-$7 for every one.

RIP OFF is their strategy thats why they have bad reviews. The worst service in my entire life I was gonna sue them for stealing 59.99 dollars from me even after a month of stopping the membership.
It is rediculous

The fitness team at New York sports clubs Midwood is second to none! The head Fitness manager, Pete Luo is truly the gold standard in personal training. His wealth of knowledge in the area of fitness and dieting is both refreshing and on point! It's hard to find a caring and knowledgeable fitness staff in a commercial gym setting, but New York sports clubs of Midwood definitely nailed it!

I went to this gym as a more affordable option from Harbor fitness. I wish I had stayed there. The service in the gym was unremarkable. The classes were alright, depending which, as always. Sometimes the bathrooms were clean, others times not. My biggest issue was when it came time to cancel. I moved and it posed a challenge to make it to the gym so I cancelled. At first the woman on the phone tells me I must come in to cancel with a manager. Now, despite me cancelling because of my move, I trek over to the gym to cancel. When I get there, the woman at the desk who is probably the same woman who told me to come in, simply scans my card and cancels. No manager was in sight and no additional information was provided. She informs me I have 45 days to use the facilities. I later came to realize this meant they would charge me for 45 days despite me not going. This was infuriating because I was not informed that I would be charged another month and a half, fine. When I'm finally thinking the charges are done, there's another charge! I call to find out what this charge is and it turns out, it's now a cancellation fee. None of the charges are drastic but the point is the lack of communication and information provided by the staff. Most of them had poor attitudes during my time there anyway so I shouldn't have been so surprised. I will never return to this gym or any NYSC.

I would give no stars if possible. This gym charged me extra cancellation fees for my husband and I after cancelling 2 months ago and already paid the ridiculous month and a half cancellation fee. To make matters worse, they keep changing the story when I call them and keep claiming a manager will call me back but he never does. He has ignored my emails and calls. Then the last person actual hung up on me! The worst customer service ever! They lie about previous conversations, talk over you, lie about fees, and never get the manager on the phone despite the fact that they kept claiming he will call me back. Why is he hiding from me? Because he knows they are crooks stealing money as I confirmed from reading other reviews, I'm not the only one. And it's already weird to charge the annual fee after first signing up because annual means year...so that fee of $70 each should be in a year later. It's not science. But they know they can fool people and keep lying to take your money. I hardly used the gym because it's dirty, everything is broken, and there's a bunch of creepy guys waiting for girls to do squats. I actually saw another female write something similar in her review. What a horrible gym! And yet, I still get random late calls and text messages from trainers after already cancelling. As a trainer myself, that's really weird to keep calling someone's personal number. Enough is enough!

In my opinion the best gym in NYC as far as equipment and lay out. There are pricier gyms that look like old castles and dungeons compared to this gym. Like any gym it has its busy times where it can get very crowded but a good gym to train at most of the time. The fitness manager is awesome and their trainers are excellent (ask for Jordan). The only knock on this place is the clientele. Half of them take their health and fitness serious and are courteous to other members and the other half: talk on their cell phone in between sets on a machine/station, don't rack their weights, and leave towels where ever.

Charged me for yearly membership service WITHOUT any notification! When I signed up for the gym I don't remember it to be mentioned... but it's ok, send a notice couple of days beforehand at least:(
$40 per month is a little bit high for what i get, stair master machines (2 out of 3) were broken for about 3-4 weeks, and only one was working so you could forget about working out on it... dumbbells are not always in place, so you have to waste you time to find a pair.. and I really liked the smith machine they used to have, unfortunately I couldn't find it.
And also, about kids playroom, there was no soap in kids bathroom when I wanted to wash my kids' hands after very dirty floor and mat...
the gym definitely needs improvement!

No matter what time you come the gym is always packed. I tried going the moment the doors opened and bam it was like going to the gym at 6pm. It's a very small gym for the amount of people they have. Staff I can't say much about I just go to get my workout in I always find my self having to jump in a set with someone else or someone jumping into my set which time to time isn't bothersome but everyday? There are machines with missing pins, I'd say the only pro about this gym is how clean they keep it.
