I went to this gym as a more affordable option from Harbor fitness. I wish I had stayed there. The service in the gym was unremarkable. The classes were alright, depending which, as always. Sometimes the bathrooms were clean, others times not. My biggest issue was when it came time to cancel. I moved and it posed a challenge to make it to the gym so I cancelled. At first the woman on the phone tells me I must come in to cancel with a manager. Now, despite me cancelling because of my move, I trek over to the gym to cancel. When I get there, the woman at the desk who is probably the same woman who told me to come in, simply scans my card and cancels. No manager was in sight and no additional information was provided. She informs me I have 45 days to use the facilities. I later came to realize this meant they would charge me for 45 days despite me not going. This was infuriating because I was not informed that I would be charged another month and a half, fine. When I'm finally thinking the charges are done, there's another charge! I call to find out what this charge is and it turns out, it's now a cancellation fee. None of the charges are drastic but the point is the lack of communication and information provided by the staff. Most of them had poor attitudes during my time there anyway so I shouldn't have been so surprised. I will never return to this gym or any NYSC.
