Staffs are nice but two major problems: the equipment are old and some look really filthy; and cleanness is not their strong suit. The place needs a redo and more cleaning!

This has to be the worst gym company to ever be created! Think 2x about joining this gym.
Don't even get me started about the customer service representative, (Victoria) who had me on hold for 30 minutes in a 1 hr call about canceling my membership. She was insensitive about how closing the Tilden location was inconvenient for me and transferring me to the dirty, grimey Kings Hwy location was unacceptable.
If it wasn't for Jorge from customer service, I would have definitely lost my head. He is the definition of what excellent customer service should be!
Dirty and overcrowded is the first thing that comes to mind. I tried to cancel the membership right away - not only did they charge me for the month - it's been 6 months and they kept charging me. Corporate told me they would offer a refund - manager here refuses to answer any calls and it's been a horrible process. Honestly, this place is terrible.
I really like this gym. It has all the classes need it. Zumba, Kick boxing, Spinning etc. Also the free weights area is decent.
This is my favorite gym , I have tried different gyms since I moved to new York and honestly this one has everything I ever needed. It's perfect for me.
Poor management, broken equipment does not get fixed for months, the walls on the second floor were plastered and not painted even today. Is it a sign of indifference or disrespect? Should someone be fired for such poor and unacceptable management?
The management position is amazing here!!! Great service very efficient and the staff have never been so polite... the sales her are great and never been so happy to get a membership from Stacy she was great at explaining everything to me and the best part Ronald, Aleksey, Laurance, Elijah and shanice are great at making shakes
Membership is good if actually everything worked but steam room and sauna is always closed and jakuzi is two days open rest in service, machings upstairs are always broken and outdated they need new variety
It's really dirty everywhere. Even the roof is leaking during rain. I'm disappointed.
Regular gym, rude personeel and trainers, place is not clean at all , lockers n gym itself!! And price is high 30$. But now we can go to Planet Fitness for 10$ Wich I better, cleaner and better from all points of view!!

The machinery and weights and treadmills are amazing. 2nd floor is huge and lot of equipment for everyone. Ladies' changing/locker room should be kept cleaner. The sauna felt amazing, I recommend for you to try it. 24 Hour Fitness is definitely better than Bally's.

I've been waiting to try and sign up for a membership for few weeks now, was wrongly accused by an employee because he had a grudge on me and put me through an investigation for no reason. I've been calling everyday asking if I can sign up but the manager never gives me an answer or calls me back like she said she would. Horrible service and management. Going back to NYSC where its simple.
I used to use this Gym way back when it was called Bally's Total Fitness. And luckily I found someone who used to be a trainer then. Still working there. Now he is my trainer, he is great and is easy to work with. Once I told him my issues with my back n knees. He came up with a great workout plan. With his supervision ofcourse. His name is Rawl and he really is a great trainer. I reccomend Rawl and 24 Hour Fitness.
The place improved when 24 Hour Fitness took over. The employees are now held accountable for punctuality and the way they interact with the members. They are friendly, helpful and try their best to make the members' experience more enjoyable. Jeff is particularly helpful and professional. However the locker rooms need to be cleaned more often and the soap dispensers need to be checked on a daily basis.

I love the convenience of going there whenever I want. The staff are very professional, cool and down to earth.
Worst gym in the area. Cockroaches running around, poor management, broken equipment. Amazing they aren't out of business. Blink and planet fitness can't finish building quick enough
The worst of the 4 total clubs in Brooklyn. It's dirty, dark and the size of the pool is a joke. If you want my advice, go to Sheepshead Bay, it's a lot bigger and nicer
I belong to this gym, but its pretty dirty, machines are old and broken, and they are always telling everyone that they are getting new equipment. Never going to happen
Scam gym and racist owner/worker, stay away.
Since I didn't realize a commitment contract locks me in for 12 months, this dirty gym has some very angry people that go there. There is one overweight Russian guy that yells at everyone, and especially despises and picks on Asians at the gym. Other non-Asians that "violate" the rules he never yells at, even laughs it up with them. I think they're his friends or something.
Gym does sometimes get cleaned but I think because the owner spends his time yelling at people instead of CLEANING THE GYM, the filth builds up, especially at the toilet area in the locker room basement. I've gotten a stomach flu AND a cold because of this garbage.
The equipment is decent if it's free. The combination of filth, lack of cleaning (due to racist owner/worker yelling instead of cleaning) and the cheap price is NOT WORTH IT. You get what you pay for. I now waste $30 a month to not go to this garbage gym due to my contract but I'm definitely cancelling at the end of the year. Planet fitness is a terrible gym franchise that expertly steals your money and has way too many racist owners harassing customers. I don't know how this is even legal.
Stay away from this gym. You are hereby warned.
My workout was good no problems although someone stole my lock
As far as gyms go, this place is a disaster. I'm surprised the Department of Health hasn't shut this place down. Okay, so I rated this gym in terms of equipment, cleanliness, friendliness, services provided, and membership fees.
As for equipment, there's barely anything on the first floor. On the second floor, they've got some equipment. They mostly have one of each machine, except for treadmills, stationary bikes, stairmasters and ellipticals. I won't give a star for equipment because there's a less than fair amount of machines, and very little free weights.
Update: 12/2017: The gym, instead of replacing broken equipment, just puts " out of service" signage on the broken machines. More and more treadmills and stair masters are broken but nobody replacing them. It's disappointing.
Cleanliness, PLEASE ASK FOR A TOUR. This place is awful. The lockers are horrifying, I've seen bugs and hairballs and the nastiest of the nastiest things down there. The swimming pool is not very clean either. Machines don't get wiped down that often. Overall, I want to give this place a negative star for cleanliness.
Friendliness, this is the only thing the gym will get a star for. The workers there are awesome, and very friendly. I never had a problem with any employee.
Update: 12/2017: Staff is starting to become disappointing. Some new staff, and not as friendly or accommodating.
Services provided. I'm going to reluctantly give a star for this category. If I could give half, it would be half. The gym provides a swimming pool (functional maybe 1/2 the time). There are classes and trainers that you have to pay for, but it does provide a fair amount of services to it's customers. You've got hand towel service ($5), etc.
Update: 12/2017: I basically only go to this gym now because it's close to my house. Services are abysmal, with a lot of equipment malfunctioning and services being provided like showers, etc are so unsanitary and disgusting, it's better not to use them. Going to have to bump this review one more star down.
Lastly, membership fees. Be careful if you're going to sign up. Read your contract if you're going to have one, and read it very carefully. The fees are ridiculous for what the gym provides, they even have an annual service fee that I have yet to see being used to remodel the gym or add anything new or fix something. Overall, would not give a star. They have basic membership fees and add a whole lot on for hand towel service, etc etc.
Overall, would not recommend this gym to anyone.
This place is the worst if I could give them negative 5 star in will The fee is $70 one a year and for member ship $55 also $35 for one month. Also you need shorts I wear Jean and the jeans were comfortable but they said to wear shorts. BAD CUSTOMERS SURVICE. I SIGNED IN IT DID NOT WORK SO THEY SAID YOUR ARE NOT THE MEMBER OF THIS GYM, AND THEN I CHECKED AGAIN IT WORK THEN I CAME NEXT DAY ONE OF THE WORKING PEOPLE SAID YOU ARE NOT THE MEMBE HE SCREAMED AT ME. I AM DONE.
In 3 weeks NYC this is the dirtiest place in the city I have been to so far (except for some MTA stations). Would not even come here for free. I'd prefer lifting water bottles and climbing trees than coming here. Almost puked when I walked inside the changing area because of the smell of death and decay. Not joking, best example of how not to run a business. If you can't afford cleaning staff, limit the opening hours and use the money you will save on regular staff for cleaning personnel.
I was considering signing up and called to find out if I could come in as a guest first. I was told that only if I pay $20 I can workout, I was like really... $20 for just one day... he said there is no other way to workout. Then I checked their website and was able to easily get 3 days guest pass. I went there. Well what can I say?!?! Easily the worst gym I've ever been to. It wasn't crowded that day, but still most of the stuff was taken, simply cause their weight area is too small and needs a lot more extra equipment. The second floor is mostly machines, I guess girls would probably find this gym ok. To wrap it up, I wouldn't sign for this gym even if they paid me $$$ to go there.
Good gym. Good equipment. Good location. Awesome staff. Only reason it doesn't get five stars is it is a little too small for it's membership now but that's also kinda good because most people are serious.
Extremely disappointed! I've been a member of this gym for about 6 months and it just seems to be getting worse and worse.
The equipment itself is not bad although there are a few machines that are broken and have not been fixed for as long as I've been there. And some of the equipment is lacking. Oh, and the class hours and selection kind of stinks. But in general not bad.
However, the ladies locker room and showers are disgusting!!! Seem like they're hardly cleaned and even when staff says that they are going to be cleaned, it looks like hardly anything was actually done. In addition, they went from three blow dryers to one that doesn't even work, two out of three hand dryers don't work and the third one you have to bend over in order to have to dry your hair. The floor is filthy, and the ceiling looks like it has water storm damage, along with some paneling that's missing, from which water leaks. And the smell in there is always horrible. I know it's a locker room but it shouldn't smell the way it does.
I've been to other gyms that are cheaper that were much much cleaner than this. Very disappointed and seriously looking to switch to another gym.
