Following a change of management, Life in Motion Yoga has lost all of its best qualities. I noticed the decline and stopped going, despite the fact that I still had unused classes on my card. I went back again recently, in the hopes that things had improved. Unfortunately, the halls were cluttered and shockingly dirty. What once was the large studio-- spacious and sunny, really a gem on the Upper West Side-- is now a cycling warren. All yoga has been shunted to the smaller studio. I came to Life in Motion for its clear vision and excellent teachers. Remember April and Magi? They aren't on the schedule anymore. I see that Dani Zuccheri still teaches at LIM, and she is excellent, but I think the management will lose her if it doesn't shift the focus back to yoga. I've read the other negative reviews of LIM and, sadly, agree with them. I, too, had some problems with "Mario," the new "manager" who never responds to customer inquiries. I'm sorry that after many happy years of yoga at LIM, I will have to part ways and head to Chelsea and Tribeca, instead. Note to anyone thinking of taking new leadership at LIM: there is a vast community of yoga students on the Upper West Side and in Upper Manhattan who would gladly come back and support the program on Broadway and 105th, with a change of management and a return to yoga "first."
