Best Zumba teachers in Manhattan. Ask for Yxia or Ellen. Either are amazing! Great fun, the best workout!

Love the peaceful environment and great instructors

Amazing sunlit yoga studio. The instructor was excellent - challenging and delightful. The staff were super friendly as were the students. The class was an hour and a half, yet time flew by. A real pleasure.

Yoga Program has fallen apart. Teachers cancel classes without making arrangements for subs, studio is dusty and cheerless. I've arrived four times to find class canceled! Pilates remains wonderful: teachers are professional, dedicated, and great fun! Unfortunately, Mario, the manager, is unresponsive to emails or phone calls...

Following a change of management, Life in Motion Yoga has lost all of its best qualities. I noticed the decline and stopped going, despite the fact that I still had unused classes on my card. I went back again recently, in the hopes that things had improved. Unfortunately, the halls were cluttered and shockingly dirty. What once was the large studio-- spacious and sunny, really a gem on the Upper West Side-- is now a cycling warren. All yoga has been shunted to the smaller studio. I came to Life in Motion for its clear vision and excellent teachers. Remember April and Magi? They aren't on the schedule anymore. I see that Dani Zuccheri still teaches at LIM, and she is excellent, but I think the management will lose her if it doesn't shift the focus back to yoga. I've read the other negative reviews of LIM and, sadly, agree with them. I, too, had some problems with "Mario," the new "manager" who never responds to customer inquiries. I'm sorry that after many happy years of yoga at LIM, I will have to part ways and head to Chelsea and Tribeca, instead. Note to anyone thinking of taking new leadership at LIM: there is a vast community of yoga students on the Upper West Side and in Upper Manhattan who would gladly come back and support the program on Broadway and 105th, with a change of management and a return to yoga "first."

Awesome place! Great teachers, nice space, and they make you feel so welcome!!

Enjoying the spin classes. Huge plus: no high pressure sales pitches like most other places. Took off one star because the place needs some cleaning - hard to find a place on the shelf for your clothes that's not totally covered in dust. My jacket was covered in dust when I left.

In the last two months every instructor I like has left the gym to be replaced by instructors that are not good instructors. I signed up for a one year membership that is now useless as there are almost no classes I can take. If there are classes you like just get a class card. What a waste of money!

We have redone our floors and are nice and smooth! We also have new instructors on schedule. Take a look at our schedule online and fill out the form to take your first class @ $5. Looking forward to seeing all the yogi's on the upper west side.

I have been going to this place since 2010 to take Hatha yoga. Regardless of the instructor it has always been a good class but my recommendation goes to Dani. The morning and afternoon classes are less filled than the evening ones which is expected but they always find a way to accommodate you. It's also nice that they have many classes through out the day and week to fit your schedule.

Great neighborhood yoga studio. I particularly enjoy Dani's and Magi's classes... though most instructors are pretty good. LIM got a new instructor name Eric - his classes are really good as well! Staff at the reception are very friendly & helpful as well.

$120 for first time customers for the 10-class pass. $150 thereafter which is still reasonable. You can also use the pass for their other classes like spinning, zumba and pilates.
