My favorite place to workout.
A very small version of New York sports Clubs. Front desk person was not the least bit friendly. Bikes were very good. I would never go back here.
The worst place I ever see. NOT at all professional. They just take your money without explain to you well. Be careful everyone
Cleaner and better kept than other NYSC locations. Staff is friendly.
Great personal trainer, nice selection of classes, clean and a host of machines.
i wish there was a way to give 0 stars to franchise because this is the winner right here. i have complained numerous times in the past about NO hot water in the shower. it has been atleast 3 months now but the club decided it is not bother fixing it. except 1 stall (number 7) in the men's room, all of them have little to hot water, so hope you enjoy cold showers. there is also no mat in the shower room, it is quite gross, please put something there. on top of this mess, NYSC policy is that if 91st st club charged you fraudulently, no other NySC will take any responsibility. it was truly horrible to see how much they did not care to address customer issue. you guys are part of the same franchise chain, but are somehow refusing to accept ownership when fraud is concerned, what a shock. please get your act together and clean up the mess, and friendly reminder to put customer first. If it was not literally right across my work, i would never go here and would DEF NOT recommend this place to anyone. BE AWARE of NYSC horrible policies.

DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM - joined after the new year from Hoboken NYSC and was incredibly disappointed

Probably no worse or better than any of the other sports clubs in New York City. Free towel service and for the most part pretty clean. However there are always some machines which are not working or are in disrepair and need to be serviced

I am a member of this GYM more than 10 years, nice place, good people, convenient location.
This gym is great if you're a guy and you don't care about cleanliness.

Locker room is below average for the chain. Very cramped and small lockers. Bottom floor is nice, not a lot of room but the high ceiling makes a difference. Three flat bench presses which is more than any other branch I've been to. Unfortunately they don't have bumper plates.
There are lots of treadmills on 2 floors, unfortunately only 15-20% of them work on any given day. I was running on a treadmill that stopped working abruptly mid-run, and I nearly fell off of it. When it's summertime, the gym gets so hot and humid, it feels like a swamp. I wouldn't go here if it wasn't near my job.
MORONS!
For the THIRD TIME, I called ahead and asked if the location had a steam room and if it was working, (because at NYSC just because a piece of equipment is there dose not mean its working). And for the THIRD TIME I get there and THERE IS NOT EVEN A STEAM ROOM IN THE GYM!!
This is infuriating!!!! I took my lunch time to go to 1121 6th Ave just to steam, not to work out. What a waste of my f'ing time, and makes me wonder if human beings are even salvageable!
Management:
Take an hour out of your day, hold a seminar on the difference between a steam room and a sauna. You would only need two poster boards with a picture of each and describing what they do and how they differ! Give periodic pop quizzes so they can remember to consistently study, give them flash cards so they can go over them on the train,,, whatever it takes.
Sincerely,,, Time I Will Never Get Back!
Convenient. Friendly staff.perfext if you know what your doing and just need a place to work out.
has a dungeon-esque feel to it. very catered to the midtown crowd so expect a lot of suits.
The physical therapist here takes my Insurance and the other PHYSICAL therapist at Lenox Hill hurt me yesterday and I didn't want to go back there

Least crowded NYSC that I have visited. Machines work well, classes are fun, and TV entertainment system works amazingly. I am happy with this location and go out of my way to avoid the midtown crush. Not super personal, but does its job. Happy to be a member
