I am impressed with this location , and I feel like it's a hidden gem. Not very crowded at peak hours, and they are constantly cleaning. My favorite part about this gym though is Sierra. She is extremely helpful, friendly, and is always smiling. She does her job to the highest ability and treats her customers like family. Thank you so much for making me feel welcome at this gym, Sierra.

I have been a member at NYSC for a couple years now. Initially my membership was for one location in Queens but a couple months ago, I decided to upgrade to passport and have been going to this location. This location has changed my opinion of NYSC. I was extremely unhappy at the location in Queens but all the staff and instructors are amazing here. I feel like we are one big happy family. I look forward to going all of the classes whether it is Iana, Yodit, Steve, Vaydra or Bernadette. The energy is outstanding!

It's an ok gym due to it's location, it's just hard to go there get a workout because you spend your time look for weights. The staff is nice there.

They need to be diligent with fixing machines. Other than that the morning crew of people are working class no one haha it on machines texting. So you can get in and out very easy. Trainers are friendly and staff, except girl at front desk other than that it's good gym.
This picture of this broken Peck deck machine is going on three months of not being repaired.

But they'll take your dues and won't repair nothing

Fantastic customer service! I wounded my finger at the gym....totally my fault! However, the receptionist Sable at the club was super helpful and attentive. It makes me feel good to know that there are people like Sable in the world and that New York Sports Club employees her!

This club is under new management and the atmosphere is amazing, staff is excellent and professional. Cleaning team is constantly cleaning morning and night. Personal training staff is AMAZING & CLUB IS SPACIOUS!!!!!

Poorly Managed. On multiple occasions I have tried to go to this gym and it hasn't been open. During their normal business hours. It is always dirty. The sauna and steamroll are closed more than they are open. The trainers there aren't friendly. Go to any other location or to a different GYM!

Do not trust these people. They lie to rip you off. They say anything to sign you up but it turns out much of it isn't true. The gym is ok at best.

Do not trust these people. They lie cheat and steal to get $$ from you. They have no moral limits in the way they will rip you off. If you think they are being nice it will likely end with them ripping you off because they lie and have no shame.

Abject failure. If I could give it no stars, I would. Not only is the gym unkept and filthy, but their management is nauseatingly incompetent. Don't bother getting there when they ostensibly open, because the staff member responsible for unlocking the doors will likely not have the requisite keys. I am astounded by the idiocy of this establishment.

Too crowded even in the morning. Locker rooms had bed bug Infestation in feb-march 2018. Worst cancellation policy. Have to cancel 45 days in advance even if you have a proof of emergency. Which makes no sense but rip you off...

Perhaps one of the WORST nysc in Manhattan. With such a disgusting space, it should be condemned by the health dept.
Not to mention the STAFF and TRAINERS are rude AF.
Beware the 'Bro" crowd sitting with their phone in-between sets.

Worst run company on the planet! It's bad enough that the locker rooms are in disrepair--half the showers and toilets don't work, but the final straw was when they clipped my lock, and many others'. Not only did i lose my lock but items were missing from my bag. I left a total of five messages, including one via the website, but never received a return call. Please do not join this club. Save your money and aggravation.

Close to port authority, which is convenient for new Jersey residents. However, the men's locker room has many broken lockers and are all filled with dust bunnies. Do they even clean the locker rooms?

Horrible experience. I do not recommend this club if you are visiting. I called to ask how much the guest fee was for me to come that night and the next morning. I was quoted a price, so I walk several blocks from my hotel. When I arrived the front desk lady was very rude and uninterested in helping me. I opted to wait for the person that I spoke to on the phone that was kind. After 20 mins of waiting for him to get back from his 10 min break, a man came up to sell me a membership. I informed him that I am a guest and I only want what was promised over the phone. He left the room and let me wait longer only to return and not help me. I left after 30 mins without working out. Terrible customer service.

The gym is is going downhill fast.... First, it is not cleaned on a regular basis, mats and equipment are Not cleaned by the staff. Second, the place is always is a state of repair (that takes forever to happen), at least 3 men showers have been broken for 5 months, some equipment for over 3 months. Third, the weekend staff doesn't clean at all. Fourth, they stopped providing shampoo - want us to use body wash as shampoo. Fifth, rarely put out lotion or tissue. They let member do what ever they want - like playing music without ear buds- or not putting weights back - or playing their own music over the blue-tooth speakers no matter what it is. Management is absent from the club....

Friendly staff. Odd locker room. If you have issues with stairs this is not the location for you. The men's steam room does not work which sucks because I prefer a steam room after I work out. The sauna was small and therefore got too cold every time the door opened. Equipment was well maintained.

Really shady cancellation policy. When I cancelled I specifically asked the person who processed my cancellation if I could use the gym til the end of the month and if I would incur any additional charges. I was told that I would not incur any additional charges then a month later I was charged twice - for $10 and for $35.48. I emailed the location about the charges and received an email back stating: Your membership required a 45 day notice and $10 fee which you submitted in July. Your last effective date was 8/21 from your notice period.

However this didn't explain my $35 charge which was charged at the beginning of the month. I'm fine if a place has a cancellation fee or requires a certain notice for cancellatio but when I specifically ask if I will be charged again and told no and then am charged twice more that's not good customer service.

One of the better NYSC in the city.
Cardio equipment is readily available and the place is pretty clean. The locker room is large and no personal issues w theft.

I like that there is a restroom in the 1st floor so you don't have to go all the way back upstairs to the locker area while working out.

I just wish the hours were longer on the weekends since this location is so well laid out and in a prime Location in the city.

Unlike some other locations, this place is pretty generous w their towels and even has lotion available for use. It may not sound like a Big deal, but many other locations have cut down on these things.

Thank goodness there is no musty carpet in the shower area in this NYSC!

Just like the others, I was frustrated by the shady cancellation policy. I tried to cancel my membership 2 months ago as I switched to a local gym. The front desk assistant told me he put in a 30-day notice for me, and it would be canceled automatically. Surprisingly my credit card got charged last month for the full monthly fee, so I went to the gym again and talked to the manager, and she told me there was no sign of cancellation at the time and I had to give them a new 30-day notice that day, which I did. One month later they charged me again, and this time they charged me $10 more than my usual monthly fee and upgraded my membership to all-gym access without my approval! I went to the gym, and they told me the same lie again...this time I asked for a hard copy of the cancellation invoice, which I should have done for the last 2 visits. I have called my bank to dispute the charges and put this merchant on block list.
