I am in my seventh year of Classical Pilates but with Enja for the last two. Weekly Pilates eliminated my lower back pain after one and a half years and for that I was hooked. But I reached a point when I needed a new teacher to really up my challenge and advance. Finding Enja fulfills all those needs. She senses when and how to push me . Her experience and knowledge comes through with each session. I am 75 years old and feeling physically fit. Thanks Enja.
Enja skillfully customizes the one-on-one sessions, factoring in my strengths as well as my particular physical limitations. She has also created an excellent tailor-made home program for me. I have experienced increased strength and agility, and a significant reduction in chronic neck and shoulder pain, as a result of my work with Enja.
My wife and I have been taking duets with Enja for the past ten years on our monthly trips to New York City. As a Teacher of Teachers, Enja pays particular attention to our form, and has an uncanny ability to focus on the two of us at the same time. She tailors her instruction to our needs and coaches us in a way that we both can relate to. Enja challenges us to (but never beyond) our limits.
I started working with Enja post pregnancy (c-section) and she is an amazing instructor with a depth of knowledge in anatomy and how to work with post-natal bodies. She was a key partner in getting my body back!
I discovered I had developed arthritis in my lower back as a result of years of tennis playing. My doctor suggested Pilates to help manage the condition so that I could continue to play tennis. That's when I found Enja! She's a wonderful instructor....always positive and engaged. The hour flies by because she prepares a "lesson plan" in advance and keeps the session moving. Enja works as hard (if not harder) than I do during our session, and the good news is my back feels better and my body is stronger and leaner. Thanks to Enja, I have quickly grown to love Pilates and appreciate how good it is for the body!

Had THR (Total Hip Replacement) a year ago which ended up causing a herniated disk. Even more annoying is that I cannot lay on my back without issues. So Enja figured out a whole pilates routine for me where I don't have to be on my back to do all the exercises. The instructors I had previously wanted me to push thru it but Enja got around it and the strength in my back is just about non-existent. She really watches out for me.
Had THR (Total Hip Replacement) a year ago which ended up causing a herniated disk. Even more annoying is that I cannot lay on my back without issues. So Enja figured out a whole pilates routine for me where I don't have to be on my back to do all the exercises. The instructors I had previously wanted me to push thru it but Enja got around it and the strength in my back is just about non-existent. She really watches out for me.
Enja is the best Pilates instructor I have ever worked with. I feel lucky to have found her, and to have regular access to her guidance and instruction. She has committed herself deeply to mastering the human body and helping people transform their own bodies. She observes with a keen eye and gives strong clear corrections that make the difference between staying at a plateau and breaking through to deeper strength, understanding, and body integration. She knows how to be tough and push you when it's needed, while also taking the time to teach and make it fun to do the work.
If you are trying to hunt out a master instructor and dodge all the amateurs, then you just found what you're looking for.
Enja is absolutely the best. I have been doing weekly sessions with her for 5-6 months now. I had recently quit my gym membership because I dreaded going, and was looking for something different to improve my posture and counteract the effects of long hours at a desk-bound job. I had tried a Pilates session once in another city and had enjoyed it, so I turned to the Internet and found Enja. I can genuinely say I look forward to each session (which is saying a lot coming from a self-proclaimed exercise hater). She is attentive and wholly focused on me for the entirety of each session - correcting my positioning, noticing when something doesn't feel right for me, etc. It is a real treat to notice that I am getting better at various exercises from week to week, and to feel that a genuine difference is being made. My posture is better and I am less sore/uncomfortable after a day at the office, not to mention how amazing I feel for at least a whole day after a session. It's a bonus that I'm starting to notice I'm developing a little bit of a "Pilates body"!
I highly, highly recommend Enja. Sessions with her are absolutely worth the price, as the quality of the experience is not even in the same universe as something like a group Pilates class. I will be a loyal client for a long time to come!
