All they want is your money. Had to go out of town for a while on family emergency, they cancelled my membership and when I got back to NYC I called them to try and resolve the issue they didn't care and keep charging me membership. I am jumping through hoops to get this resolved.
DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM! They are sleazy. Look at the other comments, others having similar issues, not just me. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this gym completely!.
The lockers and bathrooms are filthy. You might catch something. The jacuzzi half the time doesn't work, or the steam room. Maybe it's planned that way to save money most likely. The machines are good though.

Reasonable price - for less than $20/month for Costco members.
I was hoping this would be my new gym as its super conveniently placed under the D train, right near 18th avenue. But the moment you walk inside you're greeted by one of the most run down gyms, ever. This place needs a makeover immediately. The machines are old and dirty, the floors (rug material) are dirty, the pool looks like its been there since the caveman age. I would be scared to have my feet walk over this floor.
For a gym that has plenty of people inside on a daily basis and its rather high prices, Im honestly surprised nothing has been remodeled yet. For a 3 floor gym, how is it also so cramped?
The only *clean* area would most likely be the small little studio with the only wooden floors in the whole building.

This place is awesome. I've tried them all, locations at Sheepsheadbay, Kings highway...this one is probably the best. The free weights and machines are all on the same floor, the sauna is the hottest and folks at the front are the coolest guys in town. No kidding. Keep up good work, guys! 8-)

Great satff, great gym, great location! Was looking for a gym near a meeting that I had and I found this one. Glad I did
Only two proper squat rack in the entire gym at this moment. No weightlifting platform.This place need more power rack (to squat) or barbells and less cardiovascular machine in the second floor where it's suppose to be the free weights area. Cardio stuff is done mainly on first floor with the treadmills. Pool and sauna is not bad. Would rate 5 star if they added more weightlifting equipments. Rate commercial gym music 1/5 makes my ears bleed, same thing over and over being played.
-1 star for lack of strength equipment on second floor and mainstream music
+4 very friendly employees and coaches.
+Ed is the barbell Jesus in this gym.
Edit: the gym now has a better playlist and not playing Havana 30x a day.

It doesn't matter what time of day it is, the two squat racks are always taken. Upstairs has additional cardio equipment and machines that never get used. The demographics seem to skew to the squats, deadlift, bench press crowd which is great but the equipment needs to match those needs. That would account for three stars but the weights are thrown everywhere and I've never seen someone try to clean them up which brings it down to two stars.
If this is some corpoare policy, corporate needs to re evaluate this location and add more strong lift equipment and remove the additional cardio on the second floor.
Staff are super friendly though! Kudos to all of them on their demeanor.
Very dirty space. The air conditioning system works very poorly hot inside. From the ceiling dripping water, you can see the mold. This gym is dangerous for your health.

If I could give this a ZERO star I would. Do not listen to the so called "positive reviews" of this location. This place is a scam and a pig stuy. Membership is overpriced and for what? I get disrespectful staff including management who lie to you on giving you a free trail but lie and attempt to get you to join right away. They also make it impossible to cancel. The gym has no new machines or renovations. The pool is always closed and is dirty. The men's lockerroom still smells like raw sewage and is also dirty and the machines are old and many are broken. You can tell they put no money into the place when all the machines still have Bally logos. The weight rack (which spans the whole gym) is often empty and it will be hard to find your dumbells since half of it is on the floor. You can tell all they did was change the sign and is still the same crappy Bally's gym I've been to in the past. AVOID SIGNING UP TO THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!
Im very disappointed i been going to this gym since 97 and now great measured problems. This been goin on for quite some time like the front desk guy Julio hes spanish mid 30/35 i asked him if i can get soap to shower & his reaction was " just shower at home" i was speechless & now i might not even renew my membership very dirty gym wouldnt recommend it anyone !!
I give five star because I just joined does my membership expires after year and get new one or it stay the same ? Can you tell me that I can cancel my membership anytime or only after year I paid $113 on first day

My credit card was charged by the gym without my authorization. I am not aware of it and suffered from late charge. As a result, I called up 24 Hrs Fitness to file a complaint and remove my credit card information for safety purpose.
On Wed (Aug 31), I went to 24 Hrs Fitness Bensonhurst Brooklyn New York and was confronted by the branch manager Nicki who was very mean and rude even though I told her the reason why I remove my credit card information in their system. I stress to her that I did pay on the time and I don't want to leave my credit card information. She told me "professionally" that "THIS IS MY GYM and YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY EXPIRED" . She tought i am Asian and don't speak English well. However, she picked the wrong person!!! I believe the TOP MANAGEMENT of "24 Hrs Fitness" should provide her a training course to learn a proper & professional manner to talk to the long term members and potential customers like me. I've been in Bally Fitness since 2003 and my membership was bought up by "24 Hrs Fitness" after Bally Fitness sold to 24 Hrs. The way she talked to me is RUDE, MEAN and UNACCEPTABLE and should be immediately DISCHARGED from her duty.
I really like the pool and the steam room. They make the place great. However, it is often very crowded and hard to work out because of that.
I love going to the gym and have memberships to serval different ones. A lot has changed over the last ten years and almost all gyms no try hard to enforce taking the weights after using them and although it's near impossible to make sure everyone does the staff usually goes around a few times a day to keep things tidy. I got to this gym at 6am and it's not too busy yet, easy to see that they never enforce more tidy up because the weights are all over the place. On the plus side this gym does have everything you need.
