This place is getting ridiculous. When I signed up AND when they advertise on their board, they stated that towel and babysitter service were included with the membership. I've been a member for 4 years now, the raised my membership twice already, I brought 4 persons and never get the advertise "referring credit" , machines are always out of service, towels are limited, and today I was told I need to have a "babysitter membership" or pay $10 extra for babysitting besides what am already paying which is a lot compared to other gyms with way better equipment. The only reason I did not cancel my membership up to now was because of the location, but today they went beyond absurd! I don't know what is happening with the management in this location, but they overbook classes as well. Speaking with other members I know am not the only person who feel this place is going down the hill. I know 5 people who either cancelled, or move to Park Slope location or switch gyms. I think that they take advantage of the fact that the location is good, but they don't seem to realize that people are getting way better deals at Blink, BAA, and some other gyms and that people is getting to the point where they prefer to commute further to get better service. And that says a lot. The only descent thing about this place is Emily at the front desk who is very helpful.
