This gym makes it impossible to workout. The equipment is often out of order and there aren't enough of popular machines so I find myself waiting for long periods of time, which makes for an unproductive workout. There are weights strewn around the facility so I can't find some equipment when I need it, and there are trip hazards everywhere. And there are a lot of customers who sit on machines chatting rather than working out, or talking loudly on their cell phones for lengthy conversations. Not all of that is the gym's fault - it's a difficult clientele. But I've mentioned the equipment and the loud cell phone conversations to staff, and they shrug and laugh it off saying there's nothing they can do. This facility needs more attentive staff to instruct its guests to stay off the phone, politely free up the equipment if they aren't using them, and return weights to their home before moving on. It seems like common courtesy in a gym, but it isn't realized at this one so the staff needs to step up, but they don't think it's their job. It's hard enough to motivate to get to the gym in the first place - an environment like this just makes it not worth it. And, as others have stated, they make it impossible to cancel your membership and I feel like I'll be paying membership fees into perpetuity despite not being able to use the facility. As an update, I've been trying to cancel my membership and I echo the comments below - they make it nearly impossible. I have emailed individuals at the gym, emailed corporate, gone in person to speak to managers but they are never in, or at least never available.
