This place is awesome. The best gym I've ever been in. The atmosphere is incredibly motivating. I recommend!!
Like many others, they charged cancellation fees I was never made aware of. Charged me the annual fee because of the 45 day policy which again I was never made aware of. (Signed up over the phone and never saw a contract). And now they are trying to continue charging me monthly fees. Would not recommend. Customer service has provided no assistance.
The gym has good staff,and they are very friendly and helpful. The manager Fanny was very accommodating as well. friendly environment, quiet club always get the equipment you need.
Good gym never too crowded so far
If I were to rate this gym for the instructors alone, it would get 5 stars. It is an older gym with high attendance so things don't remain organized long and equipment breaks regularly.
Spin on Saturdays is outstanding, the only thing I miss about NY. Kim is otherworldly. Thanks Mary Jo. And Maria is always a blast.

The workers are friendly and the free towels are great. Main downfall is gym is cell phone use in the cardio area is excessive. There are signs up stating no cell phone use in area but management does not enforce. Real detriment when trying to focus on your workout. Numerous customers just yap on their cellphone during the whole workout and it is extremely inconsiderate.

I love this gym, better than all the other NYSC in Western Nassau that I have been to. Great classes, very nice staff and manager, kept very clean. It has a good amount of equipment that's always in good condition. I travel from Hewlett to go to this gym & it's worth it.

I go at 5am and 4pm. From my experience it's always been clean, not crowded, friendly staff, machines work, there's always soap and towels, sauna is clean and working. What more can I ask for?
Really good gym. Something for everyone. This Ironman is a happy customer. BTW, I saw someone complain about Jonathan. He's always been great with me. Very professional.
johnathan costumer service sucks, his attitude when picking up the phone was not welcoming nor helped me at all, only had an attitude!
Terrible management attitude. My son forgot his ID and was not allowed to use the gym. The manager said absolutely not exceptions allowed!
No wonder this gym is losing members...who needs customer service like this!

I have been going to NYSC for many years. the staff is good, very friendly. trainers are excellent and really help you to succeed in your goals. locker rooms are average and i rarely use the showers. it is easy to get on equipment and there is enough room to train. The people who are members are friendly and easy to talk with. I prefer it over a mega gym.
Place is usually not too busy. Plenty of room to workout.
The equipment is good and the staff is friendly. The biggest problem is the locker rooms. The showers are almost all broken and people leave towels/junk everywhere. People do inappropriate personal hygiene tasks that should be done at home like using a pumice stone on their foot callouses while sitting naked on the bench in the locker room.
Garden City NYSC is okay and will get the job done but other locations I've been to are much more nicer/better. Very good for cardio training, cardio classes, etc.
For weight training and body building not as good. They need alot more equipment(free weights, machines, cables) and do maintenance on the existing stuff.
