I decided to get a membership at ESF because of the close proximity to my apartment and place of work. After a short period of time, I realized that it was a mistake and I would prefer to workout elsewhere.
I found that almost all of the equipment is dated, and not properly maintained, the majority of people do not clean their equipment after use, and the front office provided little to no oversight or customer support. I decided to let my membership expire without renewing it.
My greatest frustration with ESF was that they collected a $20 deposit for the gym key fob that was to be returned when my membership expired and the fob was turned in. When I went to the office to turn in the fob, I was told by the receptionist that they no longer do deposits for fobs, and I would not be getting my money back. This was infuriating, but too small of a price to take action.
I would steer clear of this gym, and look elsewhere. There is an LA fitness a few blocks away....
