They had a sauna fire over a year ago and nothing is being done to renovate it. And apparently you need an on duty life guard to even access the steam room.
Very different from any gym I've been to before. It's in an office building and on several floors.

Good gym with nice selection of equipment to workout on as well as machines. Because of its location it never gets busy, definitely a little spike in attendance around 5 and 6 but you will not be waiting around for a machine or something. Only negatives are that the sauna isn't working, only the steam room and it's a lot of stairs. Would recommend to others.
Clean and quiet. Having multiple floors really bodes well for those who like a more private feeling workout.

I went to this location 3 times but I didn't like it at all. They have weights all over the place and there's horrible smell specially when you go in free weight area.. They need to use some air cleaner or something cause at times you will be smelling sweats from other people.
Great staff always clean and theres no young kids (i used the Delaware location so i can have me time away from my beautiful kids...dont get me wrong kids are great but its a more adult autmosphere but elmwood has a great kids program which i use when my husband isnt home) and the equipment is safe and easy to use im getting ready to go to my home gym now great place you have to try it atleast once!!!!!
I love it! Sadly, I didn't use it much because it was to expensive. They have a sauna, pool and racket ball. Hopefully I'll be able to come back soon
I love going here. You can focus on your workout without feeling intimidated by more advanced individuals. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

Facility showing its age. Pool steam sauna top notch. Management freely admits they will replace existing equipment but will not add new equipment. I requested a piece of equipment that is at other LA fitness locations and was told no. The piece was a ladder you throw on the floor to do agility drills. Probably a $20 piece.

Great Atmosphere!
This is probably the worst gym I have ever been to. LA Fitness is a massive corporation and somewhere along their great expansion someone let this abomination happen. The free weight selection is terrible, there is no bench or squat rack, and the entire place looks like it was inspired by the movie "The Road". If you told me that the membership was actually free and that the only catch is that the large empty room that they try to pass off as a strength training area actually doubles up as a local cult meeting area, it would all make sense. But instead they try to pitch $99 down for $29 a month so that you at least have the ability to go to another LA Fitness that justifies the expensive cost/doesn't need to be condemned. If you want to join LA Fitness, by all means go for it! But this is the exception to the rule that they are a premium gym experience.
This place has terrible hours, and they keep getting worse! It's very busy when it is open so be ready to wait for equipment or weights. Constantly missing/mismatched free weights and accessories for equipment. The pool closes even earlier than the gym, and they start pushing you out/cleaning before close. It's a constant disappointment.
It used to be a well managed facility with reasonable hours, it's a shame its gone downhill.
Favorite LA Fitness in the Buffalo area. Not a huge open area like their new building locations, but divided by 3 different floors. Different, but it works and I enjoy it.

LA isn't one of those gyms where they chop the price by skipping out on amenities. You're going to pay a little bit more than the contenders (I pay 24.99) but you get a facility that's huge, you can go to any class at any location, they have water fountains and a smoothie bar.
There's a pool with a lifeguard, and all of the machines are well maintained.
The staff is friendly, organized and approachable.
While I have visited many of their locations and have had an enjoyable time at all, this is my home gym due to location, parking availability etc.
I have never seen a location uncomfortably full, even during the nightmare gym months: January and April.
