This gym is probably the closest and more affordable in the area where I live. It has all the equipment that I need and they provide classes.

This is the worst gym in nj. When you try to cancel your membership they will give you the runaround. Worst experience I've had. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

I'm currently a member at this gym. It has large space with plenty of free weights and machines. Weights are old but I noticed new dumbbells are placed in the racks. A new sauna room is being built, which will be an additional perk. More handles are needed for cable fly, etc.

It's okay, just their cancelation process is sleazy. They make you cancel 3 months in advance which gives them enough time to charge the "quarterly gym maintenance fee" of 29.99 extra for that month. Nothing too special about this gym to be honest.

The Oopen space for whatever you want to do is nice. Equipment is 5 years old on average, I'd guess. Pretty chaotic dumbbell section. Treadmills are above average.

I signed up 6 months ago and so far i have no complaints(5am-7am my workout schedule) morning crew at the front desk always happy.

Very spacious. All the equipment you'll need and you can't beat the 24hrs weekday access.

What do you want to accomplish? If you want to get in some cardio, you can do it here. Want to take a few classes? You can do it here. Want to train for sports? You can do it here. Want to lift the entire gym and become great? Well there are plenty of people on various levels doing just that here.

The staff: Unreliable, unprofessional, and incompetent. Those who work the front have no idea how to make half the shakes on display. I have yet to enjoy a consistent shake with the same taste/form after a year and a half of attending PH.
The staff is more concerned with socializing than attending to customer needs. In particular: Josh.
Staff will give their friends free Gatorade.
Staff working the front desk phone will put callers on hold then purposely end the call in hopes that the caller will not call back.
The crowd: Random children can be found running around the gym and attempting to use the equipment. No one says anything.
Literally had a 7 year old use the crunch machine next to me and violently counted to 34 in Spanish.
Josh and Valentina are horrible employees.

So I've been coming to power house gym in linden, NJ for over 3 years now and I must say I don't regret at all signing my 3year contract. If I was looking for a gym today, I would definitely sign up to power house!!! The staff is great, there trainers are professional and the environment is friendly. Oh and the Manager rocks!!!
