Great gym, Chris the rep guy is very friendly and chatty. The sauna the equipment, machines, everything is really good. I had a major time taking care of my health. Hope to come more often after this pandemic!
Dana and Chris are awesome!! I used to go here awhile ago and the gym was not that great. Dana has made a significant difference to this gym and Chris always welcomes me in the door. Hours are great and the gym has all the equipment you need. Highly recommend!
I travel a lot for the military and one big downfall is always having to find a good gym, or pay $60 to use a gym for the 3 weeks I'm in an area, just to leave and not come back. Chris was kind enough to allow me to use the facilities for free and show me around the place. I found there to be a good selection of free weights and barbells, as well as machines. Everything was clean and orderly and the clientele were very friendly and conversational. I am in New Hampshire often and will be returning without any doubt.
It took me over a year to cancel my membership. After moving I tried to cancel and I was told itd be cheaper if I let my membership run out naturally instead of paying a cancellation fee. So I called when the time came to cancel and I was told that it was completed. After a month I was still being charged called again and I was told I have to call a third party to cancel. So I did that as well. After I was assured my membership was cancelled again, I was again charged so I called the 3rd party again. This time I was told that I had to send an email to cancel the membership. This time it seems to have worked. i tried speaking to customer service about possibly being reimbursed due to miscommunication from employees. I was ignored completely. The whole process was absolutely pitiful. Never go to fitlab

Haven't actually been to this gym. After reading many reviews between FitLab and Workout Club, I think I'll choose Workout club. Way more negative reviews about this one, and I'm a little put off with the immediate passive aggressive response of the president. Although he seems to give the same fake appreciative cookie cutter replies to the "happy" customers. If this is how he interacts with anyone that has something negative to say about his club, I can imagine how the staff at the gym is allowed to treat or talk to the members. Workout club it is! Thanks everyone for your helpful feedback!

Great place, never crowded. Decent equipment to do what most people need to do. Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. Managers are on point. Meets all expectations of a good gym.
I was visiting family while on Military leave before going overseas for a while. The folks at Fit Lab in Manchester got me an unbeatable deal to workout there while I was in town. It was a nice gym, good equipment, good variety, clean, and seemed to have a fair number of amenities.
Very convenient located gym. It's clean and equipment is newish and works well. The staff is nice and helpful enough. Peak hours the gym is pretty packed and it's hard to workout but other times it's great. The parking lot sucks and they clearly don't have enough parking.

Hello,
I would just like to give feedback regarding the cancellation policy for this gym. As a former member I found it quite simple to cancel. I called the gym, spoke to a manager, he gave me a reference number with an email address. I emailed with my reference number stating that I would like to cancel and within 24 hours I had received an email back saying my membership was cancelled. As long as you cancel within the guidelines of your contract there should not be an issue. People need to read before they sign! I am actually thinking about joining again as I have recently started working in the area and it has become more convenient.
As far as the gym itself, I would have to say it was a great atmosphere, clean and good space. Gotta stop giving this place such a bad rap!

Excellent trainers and training programs. Very good variety of machines. Very friendly and helpful atmosphere.
Great gym. However memberships are served through the company ABC financial. It's extremely hard to cancel membership and have a ridiculous policy of a written request having to submitted 30 days prior or else you'll be charged for an extra month. Was harassed by calls months after leaving the gym. Really sad that such a nice facility would choose to do business with such a shady collection agency.
Signed up for this gym about a month ago and I really enjoy it. Has all the things you need for a great work out and doesn't smell awful like other gyms. Can definitely get a little busy which I don't love but I just follow the off peak guidelines on google and it has never been a problem.
I have seen complaints on here about gym equipment always being broken and can say that is just not true. Yes, there have been times when I have come to Fitlab and one or two of the treadmills are out of order. However, I come every day and these repairs have always been done by the next day. You can't hold a grudge against a gym that actually maintains their equipment.
All in all, one of the best fitness clubs I've been to. Oh and also, the staff are awesome. Super friendly at all times, even when it's 6am! Keep it up.

Warning warning this gym is corrupt owned by former franchise owner of three Gold's Gyms now named fitlab. Deceptive practices. They will promise you a membership for a really good price but then when you go to do it they'll say well that offer is no longer available. It's known in the business as bait and switch. The place is dirty the staff is usually sleeping or nodding off I don't know if they're on drugs or what it's just a bad experience all around for a gym.
This gym has been absolutely terrible since I tried to cancel my membership two years ago. The manager at the time constantly lied about my cancellation, and for over a year my boyfriend has been trying to cancel his membership. We went in and talked to the current manager and he promised to help us resolve this. Since then he has ignored my calls and text and still nothing has been fixed. Many of my friends have had this same issue. I don't recommend going here unless you plan on keeping your membership for a lifetime.
I felt so comfortable walking into the gym and being greeted by Clark! Such an awesome personality and so helpful! Gyms can be intimidating but I felt really comfortable on my tour. I signed up that day. I'm really happy!! Thanks Clark!!
I came in in March and was staying 5 weeks so I decided to try out the gym. When i signed up I stated that I would only be staying 1 month and that it was all I wanted. They told me it would be absolutely no problem and that I could cancel before leaving. What they forgot to tell me was that you need to give a 1 month cancellation notice and pay $25 in cancellation fees and that you can only cancel through their partner ABCFinancial during week days. So my $29 membership for 4 weeks ended up costing me $115 because I couldn't cancel during the weekend when I was leaving and as it recurred I had to pay for 2 extra months. Just avoid the hassle and don't sign up here.
Oh and don't forget, you can't just cancel, you need to move 25 miles away from the gym in order to do that! And to prove that you need to display papers, and if the papers are not in English they'll decline them (I couldn't believe it when they told me lol)
Oh yeah, the gym itself is not bad, but they made a very poor decision when they partnered with that financial institution, I'll never ever come by again, what a pity!
Edit: Ted feel free to reach out to me if you want details. nikooo777 at gmail

This place is downright filthy. Ever since the shift from Gold's Gym to Fit Lab ... Service, attention to qualify and cleanliness is gone. The health department should visit... I'm certain FitLab would be cited for it's deplorable conditions. I wanted to add that since a recent managerial change - the cleanliness at FitLab has improved. The new manager - I am not certain on his name - a tallish gentleman with auburn-colored hair - has been more responsive and definitely more present than previous managers. I hope that improvements continue as I enjoy this atmosphere of this club, the location is great and the people are respectful and supportive of each other. It would seem to make sense that some a schedule to "super-clean" machines on a rotational basis would be wise in terms of keeping machines in good working order. Thank you to the new management for trying!!!!
Good facility. Staff and management lack some professionalism but not completely horrible
I signed up for this gym in Feb 2017. This wasn't a bad gym to start. They do a great job making it look good to sign you up. They will honor the free membership offer if you meet the tight guidelines, but you have to make sure they honor it with a new contract.
Right away you start to notice that a lot of the nice equipment and great layout was hiding some major flaws. A lot of the treadmills are broken. Most of the equipment is run down. And the place is always crowded, which makes for a negative experience.
Some of the staff are helpful and friendly and some are downright rude and arrogant. I was once yelled at by one of their trainers because I wouldn't get off the station I had been working circuits on and around for 10 minutes so that his client could use it.
In addition, when I told them to stop using my account to charge my ex-wife's membership, they just didn't do it. When I called them on it a couple months later (my fault for assuming they'd complete the request as asked) I was told I would get a refund for the amount that they took unauthorized from my account. I never saw any of the couple hundred dollars they owed me.
Do not recommend.
First time visit. Genuinely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Super clean, the daycare instructor was amazing and experienced. Affordable! No excuses for this mom....
It was exceptionally easy to sign-up for, and to start, a fun, motivational, fitness contest. Even the entry fee was nominal. The Dow Street location is really modern and clean. Rob was also very helpful this evening even if things didn't go as planned. HOWEVER do not advertise that a contest runs until Midnight when the equipment needed to finalize that contest is locked up at 9:38pm.
After working an 11-hour day, spending 2 hours commuting to and from work, and then driving an hour out of my way just to get on a scale to say I 'finished' the competition I knew I wasn't going to win to begin with, the last thing I wanted to hear was that the Training Director (who went home) has the key but the on-site Trainer just closed the door that was locked where the equipment is. Seriously? I'm sorry that I had the discourtesy to show up at the end of someone's shift but still over two hours before the deadline. That's the breaks when you work in the service industry.
I understand that it was not a personal slight, but rather an unfortunate timing situation. Honestly, due diligence... you must know how many people signed up. You must know how many people pay for trainer sessions. You must know who has been going to the gym, but who hasn't done the final weigh-in. I understand it wasn't directed to me personally, but honestly, you already get $180 a month from me, and sometimes more because of the stupid payment schedule (that two people on one membership are charged as two separate charges). That's probably going to change soon.
The energy in this club is contagious! You'll love all the amenities this club has to offer. Personal Training, Day Care, and group fitness. Everyone is helpful and will work with you to meet your fitness goals.
Love this club! The energy is amazing and the staff is always so friendly. Daycare/babysitting workers are very attentive and clean.
I have had nothing but issues with this gym. The people are great, but the staff doesn't know what they are doing. Their billing process has caused me so many issues. I had a surgery and instead of making the process of freezing my account easy, they continued to charge me $420 every month even though I was not using the personal training. I have had to jump through hoops to get them to refund any of my money, and I am still out over $800 that they have cost me and not returned. Don't join this gym if you like your money to be taken care of respectively. They don't take responsibility for their mistakes and cause hardships on their clients.
Fantastic!
I just joined about a week ago to lose some extra pounds off.
The manager was super cool-very informative and took the time to give me a tour before I signed up for membership- so nice!
Gym Highlights:
- Right downtown Manchester
-Huge! I never have a problem waiting for machines
-All kinds of weights and machines and kettle bells!
-Clean locker rooms and bathrooms and showers and scales to monitor progress!
-Friendly staff that are helpful!
They offer personal trainers for very affordable prices! I got two free personal training sessions just for signing up as a member but I am yet to try use them!
I had an issue where I had been under the impression that there was only 1 type of membership available. I purchased the membership that day and after about a month found out that my friends were paying significantly less for their membership. I brought this issue up with the front desk rep who was rather rude and said sorry man a contracts a contract. This didn't sit well with me and another rep had overheard the exchange and stepped in. It turns out the gentleman that stepped in was Mike one of the managers of the location. At the time he didn't really have a solution to my problem however said that he would call me back to get it solved. He kept his word and followed up with me and went above and beyond. Both Mike and Eric were extremely helpful and I will definitely recommend that my friends and family members become members here as well.
