Wow... I had heard good things about Lifetime and have been to a few of them as a guest several years ago. Seem to be great facilities, so I am looking into joining with my wife; but after reading multiple reviews with detailed complaints and seeing how Management even when they respond, are basically saying "sorry not sorry"... Limits on when I can take in a guest? Rude staff and no indication from management that that staff has been retrained / disciplined / removed? Why would I join a place that would on the face of it treat me and my guest poorly, and make nothing but excuses, and no apparent attempts to specifically correct the problem.

Best gym in the area. Not the best lifetime but beats driving to the other side of the cities. The classes here aren't nearly as good as the higher tier lifetime gyms, as expected. Large gym and has plenty of amenities and equipment. Gets packed at times.

Compared to other lifetime fitness I feel this one is way to crowded. Whenever I go, regardless of day or time it is always full. They need another lifetime fitness on this part of the twin cities.

Great gym. Clean, well maintained. Lots of great equipment and training options. Pool, steam room, sauna and hot tubs.

I recently started visiting Lifetime as I am able to get myself back into shape after a stint of stress and change in physical exercise habits. I have found great value in the availability of a variety of options for exercise, as well as the whirlpools and sauna, which provides a place to relax and refresh. I plan to continue coming here.

One of the Best facilities I've been to in terms of equipment, space, and amenities - all top notch. But when it comes time to cancellation policy, and general customer service, really really poor experience. I was jibbed out of almost $300. I guess they prioritize "policy" over keeping long term relationships

Rude, Racist and Unprofessional! Never have I ever encounter any rude staff at any gym before. Used to come here often with my inlaws and husband. During swimming after our workout, my husband and my brother in law was swimming in the pool and a female staff came to us and said "family time is over!". So disrespectful and racist since there was another family that was swimming in the pool too and she said nothing to them.
Would never recommend to ANYONE! Planet Fitness is better and cheaper.

$150 to join even if you were previously a member. Very busy during lunch hour, no open swim lanes. Ridiculous cancellation process which includes a certified letter. Suggest eliminating your enrollment staff to lower the initiation fee to be more competitive with $2 enrollment at YMCA and $0 enrollment and cheaper dues at the Grove Aquatic and Fitness Center.

when signing up they where professional and helpful. as it went on got pushy trying to get me to spend money on a trainer.
I did not need as I am actively seeing a physical therapist and they give me my excersizes.

and then told even though I was told it is a month to month and I could cancel anytime, well that is a lie. they wanted me to pay for another month and a half that I would not use.
having to pay for another month and a half is not cancel anytime.
so if you have to cancel know they will try to BULLY you and make you feel bad, then let you know they lied about cancelling anytime.

the great part is that they have two basketball courts at this location, the gym equipment is all nice and always functional. I prefer lifetime or LA fitness or other gyms for the amenities that they provide as well as the 24 hour convince.

I have been a member for many years. Is a very good gym.I don't like your guest policy. It would be nice if you could extend it for more than just one time a month with the flexibility for me to bring a different person every time. It makes me feel uncomfortable that every time I bring a guest for moral and motivational support, you make them feel pressure to join the club, I wish you could be less aggressive on your sales approach so you don't scare them off. If they want to join they will do it at their own time.
The area of weights needs supervision and they need staff willing to help and keep it organized. Staff needs to be watching members for any help or questions about the equipment and how to use it. Caffeteria is great! I love their healthy food and protein drinks..I wish they could add options to buy fresh vegetable juice like carrots with orange, beet with celery, apple and pinapple etc..

With no need to get into the details I just wanted to share how wonderful it is to deal with good customer service! Samantha R., a member's relations person was wonderful. When you belong to a club that is ALL CLASS, they treat every level of the company the same way! I hope that the Woodbury location can pass this information back to their corporate office. As a consumer just understand, Life Time does you right at every level!

Jeff Doornink is an excellent personal trainer. I came to him with my goals. We jumped right in and started accomplishing things on day one. He asked about my goals and lifestyle, he assessed my current level, and then he designed a workout plan accordingly. His workout plan was personally designed and based on updated proven scientific methods. I believe Jeff is highly educated and deeply knowledgeable in the health and wellness field. It also appears that he is continually educating himself. He paid attention to me during the workouts to assure I had correct technique. Jeff was patient, and his comments were always positive and encouraging. When I had concerns about anything, his updated education allowed him to educate me and kept me from making excuses. I made very good progress in my strength, body fat %, and overall health. Jeff is well liked and respected by everyone at the gym, and he goes above and beyond with his focus to help you succeed. I highly recommend Jeff Doornink, and I hope I continue to work with him in the future. Tom

Good gym, but not perfect. The area upstairs is rather small compared to what you would think from a gold gym and therefore gets crowded quickly, and while it is kept clean a lot of equipment is not very well organized. Different types of handles and bars are all over the free weight area and not in one place for easy access. Other than that I like it, good staff and open 24/7 which is a plus.

I am a single mother of 3 boys (ages 10, 7, and 5), and have to say the membership price per month is great for what services I receive. I have been a member for over a year now. I like the 24/7 hour access, the fact that childcare is offered during classes, and on weekends, and, 99.9% of the staff is friendly and helpful. Those service members who are anything less than customer friendly end up leaving. Also, it's great that in the summer months I can lessen or pause my services if I know the kiddos and I will be out of town etc.. I would say the only room for improvement is a need for an upgrade to the children's area, needing more group fitness space for say , kickboxing/jujitsu, and more cafe/business area space for those who need to jump on a quick meeting call prior to or post workout.

If you have only experienced this location, I can understand why you think it's wonderful. The staff is fairly solid at most lifetime locations, but the discrepancy in buillding quality varies greatly across the twin cities. With this, they still expect you to pay the same rates for the same services, which is fine, but they are not equal, at all. Compare the Woodbury club to Lakeville and you'll wonder why you're paying the same monthly rate for this tiny old club. I love Woodbury but it's disappointing the Lifetime here can't compare to other clubs in the Twin Cities. Had to cancel.
