Best gym experience I had starting with working out. The staff are great at what they do, they got plenty equipment, and they are always cleaned. The people who workout here are usually, if not always friendly. Need a start in the gym? Start here!
Nice place to workout
I was automatically transferred from Fitness Evolution (upon closure on 12/4/2019) to Planet Fitness. I did not agree to this transfer nor was I interested in being a member as Planet Fitness.
At any rate, Planet Fitness charged me on 12/16 for being a member at their gym due to the transfer. I was confused why I was getting charged as I had literally no heads up about the transfer (it came in the mail later in December).
The same day I was charged (12/16), I went into Planet Fitness to cancel my apparent membership. I asked for a refund for my membership fee that was charged on 12/16. They gave me a slip of paper directing me to a refund rep for Fitness Evolution. They verbatim told me "The charge comes up on your card as Planet Fitness but Fitness Evolution still has your card info and they were the one who charged you."
So I emailed the Fitness Evolution rep for the refund. Guess what she told me? (copy paste from the email): "Fitness Evolution transferred memberships on 12/4 to Planet Fitness. Any charges after that date will need to be presented for refund processing with Planet Fitness.."
So Planet Fitness blatantly lied to me to get me to get out of the gym. I called Planet Fitness and the way the employee talked to me completely changed. He said that I signed an agreement with Fitness Evolution allowing them to transfer my membership wherever they wanted and that once any charge goes through its non-refundable.
I asked nicely if he could show some courtesy and refund me for the 12/16 charges as I literally never stepped foot in the gym other than to cancel. He said no, and that he was REQUIRED to follow the Fitness Evolution contract. Really? He cant refund me 40 dollars back? At first they lied to me, then when I asked and put forth all the facts, they go to the legal contract and tell me to get lost.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT join this gym. They will do anything to get another penny out of you, have horrible customer service, and do not operate in an ethical manner.
Can get busy. Smells like rubber though not as bad as you would think. They don't have bench press or squat racks, just a bunch of Smith machines which is really disappointing though I understand they prioritize safety. "Inclusive" is the name of the game here. The whole PF movement targets the "this year will be different" & "texting in the squat rack" crowd though you will also find some dedicated usuals here as well. For the dedicated lifter (get in, workout, get out, repeat) this place is an excellent bargain. Hardcore gym rats (steroids, creatine, arms the size of my thighs, etc.) will want to steer clear of PF. For the casual lifter this place is great. Parking is free. There is always a treadmill open. Facility is clean. (NOTE: please wipe down the equipment when you are done using it.) You are surrounded by people who are more or less your same fitness level. Grunting is against the rules in this judgement-free zone. Best time to go is during business hours when most people are at work.

Open 24 hours and they have plenty of equipment! I love the massage chairs and tanning beds too! Great place and inexpensive!
The gym is fine until you make a suggestion or comment about unprofessional staff. Take my advice and keep it to yourself. Management will not help and you will be labeled a trouble maker. Anytime management can't address concerns you need to be concerned. They should leave their ego at the door.
This place is busy ALL the time. And its always kids. The only thing you won't have to wait for is the cardio equipment. There is no free weight barbells, and they discourage you from making noise. What kind of gym is this supposed to be?

Staff seems alright, clean, nice variety of machines but no free weights or squat rack. So no deadlifts or free squats or normal bench press. Have to use a smith machine.

You get a LOT for 10 dollars a month! The down side is the staff ignore nearly everyone that comes in and out. Overall, good though. CAN NOT BEAT 10 dollars a month!
The emphesis is on cardio here. Clean place.
It's a good place to workout at anytime of the day
Decent equipment, cant beat the price and open 24/7
Love the showers here. They spray from the cieling and the sides with plenty of room to change. The workout set up is nice too with small private areas and one larger area.
I have been going to Planet Fitness for about 3 months or so and at first it was awesome, the staff was friendly, people were cleaning the machines and it had a great atmosphere. In the last month I have made 3 complaints about people abusing the equipment and standing on equipment to which I heard the manager or owner say "oh I thought it was a one time thing". I get it a gym is a gym and that stuff happens but with all the rhetoric they have plaster all over the walls about cleaning equipment, using the lobby only for phone calls (another complaint I had that fell on deaf ears) and all the ads they play on the TVs about Planet Fitness no Gymtimidation... yet they have between 3 and 6 staff just sitting behind the desk not out monitoring the status of the gym and allowing these shenanigans to continue. There are some perks but in my eyes I don't see how that outweighs the negative experience I have had thus far.
Facilities are clean, plenty of locker space and employees are helpful and friendly. The machine variety is great for the price and black card membership is an unbeatable value when you use the tanning and massage tables.
Great place to work out if your concerned about time. With my crazy work hours I never have a consistent workout time so I really like that this place is always open and has plenty of close parking. I can easily get my workout done in way less time then when I had to drive downtown. It's clean and very affordable.
Gyms is clean and machines are mostly wiped down sometimes I do see some people just walk off and not clean them after. Cost is cheap compared to other ones with their bs contracts. My only complaint is no free weights. How can I deadlift or squat for real when they are all machines get some free weights
