Avalon is truly a one of a kind facility. Muay Thai,Grappling, Dance, Massage: all under one roof?! I have been here a number of times when I am in town, and am thoroughly impressed by the level of community that I find in a school their size. The classes take a route that is often overlooked, by starting with fundamentals that are mastered before skill or rank is advanced. This allowed me to truly feel that I was getting the most out of my experience....and one heck of a workout, too! We need more of these in the world.

Avalon Educational Institute is a great learning environment. The pole dance class is very upbeat and fun. All the instructors are very dedicated to their craft and work hard to make sure that the students are safe and making progress. The students and instructors are very welcoming and kind which makes you want to keep coming back! I will stay at Avalon forever!

Every time I come into Avalon the group I train with are always encouraging me, and pushing me to be at my best. When practicing Muay Thai I not only get physical fitness, but also learn about it as an art. A few years ago the thought of training in martial arts was inconceivable to me, but now I can't get enough of it!

I first came upon via my roommate and close friend Dave Carlson. He had been teaching poi at the school and was really getting into the school and all that it stood for. I came in and found it to be a fantastic performing arts school that currently is teaching both Martial Arts as well as Dance. Martial arts ranging from the hard hitting Muay Thai to the art infused Capoeria and Dance classes ranging from belly dancing to pole dancing this school had something to offer for everyone. I myself have been practicing Tae Kwon Do for 11 years and am currently the head instructor at the local YMCA so I immediately became interested in the school. I found that Avalon's mission was to bring a collaboration of the arts for an affordable price. Avalon offers a very affordable rate but understands that even with an affordable rate there are excited individuals interested in learning that just can't quite afford it. For that reason Avalon offers the opportunity to volunteer at the school as a form of tuition. Avalon Educational Institute is an great place to learn all sorts of martial arts, such as Muay Thai, Capoeira, Silat, open hand and weapons work. The pole classes they offer are above and beyond anything that you can get in this area. Avalon also offers belly dance, salsa, hip hop, medicine ball, jumping, ballet, yoga, youth classes, and massage therapy along with many other fun and wonderful seminars. All new students get a free 30 day trial, free wellness assessment and a free private lesson, or a free first class. Besides all that wonderful free stuff they give new students, the pricing options are the best in town, and have prices that everyone can afford. Truly an awesome place, when they say they are like a family, they actually mean they are like a family. Everyone is so wonderful and kind to each other, and really care when you seem to be having a bad day. Besides the daily classes, they also offer private lessons, Reiki treatments, and pole parties.
