I highly recommend Barbara Lyon and the +55 class at Come to Yoga. Having attended many classes in Boston/Cambridge area yoga studios over the years (decades), I am so happy to have discovered Barbara and the +55 class. The program is a great fit regarding pace, level and comfort. Barbara uses her expertise and experience to teach yoga that is accessible, active and satisfying in a safe, inclusive and caring environment. It is a great and healthy pleasure to practice yoga with Barbara at Come to Yoga.

Amazing classes. I thought I was too stiff to do yoga but I really needed something to help me loosen up. Barbara eased me into it and I'm doing pretty well, more flexible than i thought I could be. She's personable and funny and knows a bunch of different ways to help you go into a pose using props if you need them. Highly recommend.

I came to this yoga class about 15 years ago after pulling a muscle in another yoga class while over-stretching. I have been coming ever since! Barbara is very attentive to our individual needs, asking each of us at the beginning of every class how our body is feeling. I appreciate her 'listen to your body' approach. The atmosphere is very welcoming and non-competitive. Every class is fresh, as Barbara plans each class based on parts of the body or inspirations from the changing seasons and she incorporates new material into her classes. My body misses class if I can't make it!

I could happily recommend these yoga classes to anyone and everyone! Barbara has been teaching yoga for many years. Her teaching method is perfected. She has an appeal to all audiences - beginners up through advanced. Along with all of the yoga poses, Barbara teaching correct posture and -- most of all -- breathing! I use stretching excercises everyday that Barbara taught me. Attending her classes is a valuable experience.

I love Barbara and her classes! She's taught my shoulders where they belong and I come away from her classes feeling strengthened and as if my body's been realigned. I have been known to tell friends that it's like getting a massage, but with deeper and longer lasting results.

This is a great class if you want to know how to do the different poses correctly, in a way that is good for your body. It'll change the way you do yoga elsewhere, especially if you've been taking classes at a gym or where there is little personal interaction.

Excellent instruction. I have really come to value Barbara's teaching, especially after receiving instruction from other people who are not as skilled. I would highly recommend her, especially to anyone who is new to yoga. She is also very aware of each students particular trouble points and makes an effort to adjust her class on the fly to fit everyone's needs. Really so great.
