Try as I might over the years, I just haven't managed to turn myself into an athlete. But I still need to find a way of keeping fit as I "approach" a certain age. I figured why not cheat with the sweating with hot yoga? My daughters and I went to the Towson location several times over the summer and we loved it! The vibe is very mellow and non-keeping-up-with-the-Joneses like you have at so many gyms. It was a nice bonding experience for us. It will be too hard to squeeze in once school starts back up. Maybe we will go on the weekends. Give it a chance! BTW, my weight has dropped slightly since I started, although some of that can be attributed to dietary changes. Once the kids go back to school, I'm going to scope out a couple of the day classes. Hope to see some of you there!

Nice, but...My friend and I signed up for the beginning yoga classes in the afternoon. Not exactly beginner, but manageable. We had a lovely experience with several of the instructors. The music was so loud during the sessions, even after repeated requests to turn down the volume and leaving 'suggestions' in the box that we switched to the Saturday morning yoga class. It too was lovely, but beyond my aging bones and the heat is not the best friend for those in menopause. My friend and I took a few of the midday 'gentle' yoga sessions and feeling a bit like 'Goldilocks' found that they were 'just right'. However, they are only available while we are working.

Charm City Yoga in Towson is a great place to do yoga. I've taken the beginner yoga class several times now and I've really enjoyed it! I always leave class feeling relaxed and clear headed. The classes are are fairly reasonable price if you get the class card. The staff is very friendly and the instructor was very good at guiding the class through the poses. The classroom can be a little bit crowded sometimes.

Love, love, love Charm City Yoga. I've only been to the Towson location, and it is fabulous. I attend Rebecca's Thursday night class. She is an incredible teacher, challenging each to reach his or her personal edge. My daughters and I have been going on Thursday's for about 4 months. We all love it and love Rebecca! The price is so reasonable, too!
