Love the design and space. I like it but oddly enough I couldn't find the bar bell for benching and squatting only the machine versions. Maybe I'm missing it but please consider adding a regular station for free weight barbells for bench press, deadlifts and squats.

I have been going to Planet Fitness across the country for the past 4 years. The Metairie location is my main location. This facility is always clean, the staff is very friendly, and they have plenty of options to fine tune your workout. Plus, the music is awesome!

Great value, decent equipment, great layout, not crowded. Came here on a free day pass. The place overall is nice and prices are very fair. No free motion machines like the ones I'm familiar with at Golds gym. The equipment is decent, lots of cable operated machines.

I always go at peak times and man there are always a lot of different machines to choose from. I am a middle aged person and I have used all types of machines and to me they work perfectly fine. Facility is great, clean. Staff is super friendly. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. I looked around before signing up and this is the best deal, you can't beat their prices. I like their billing practices, honest upfront. No hidden fees, contract is easy to understand. And best of all, massage lounge is great. I am really getting my money's worth

By far the worst customer service in the world. F Moore the manager treated me like a piece of garbage because I did not have a key chain tag and asked to be checked in by my name. IT SAYS NO WHERE IN THE FINE PRINT THAT I HAVE TO AGREE TO ADVERTISE FOR THEM TO BE A MEMBER!!! MORRIS BART?

Need better detailed equipment that shows more ways to loose wait. Like how many calories or steps it takes to loose 1 pound.

The facilities are very nice and the gym has ample equipment. The staff needs to be trained better. When I signed up for my membership, the person at the front desk did not explain anything to me or help me understand the perks that came with my membership. The staff has consistently allowed people to use the black card member only area without checking their membership status or even requiring them to sign in on the papers to get in line. The staff offers no enforcement of the rules and allows people to jump in on the 30 minute workout equipment as if its just extra equipment instead of a circuit workout. If the staff here was better trained the gym would receive more stars from me.

Its been a month I joined this zym and these are my observations and experience so far. Excellent place for workout. Friendly, helpful staff and Kahirah and Ben are the best instructors. The GManager of the workplace is very approachable and friendly as well. Thank you all for what you do.

This is a tough one to review because it has a lot of stuff I do like and a lot of stuff I do not like. This will be my first really detailed review so here we go!
Things I like: First off the whole (lunk) thing is kinda funny. I've been planning on seeing if I can get that award! Second, the gym is huge and there is so many options!!! You should just go in there randomly and figure out where everything is at. Third, the extra commodities for $20 is so worth it! You get unlimited 1 guest service, water massage beds, and standing tanning beds. You also get a dsicount off of Reebok merchandise!
Things I do not like: the dumbbells only go up to 75 ibs! I would say 90 ibs would be the stopping point. There is neither a free motion bench press or squat rack! Ok, this kinda disturbed me because I never ran into that. They also only have two water fountains for a place that can easily hold 200 people at one time.

I like the place and would give it 5 stars except for three things.
1. I don't think cell phone use should be allowed while exercising!
No texting or playing on the phone while sitting on a machine while someone is waiting to use it.
If you ask if their finished you get "I'm still using it!
I come to exercise not to play on my phone.
2. People walking into the 30 min area and sitting on a machine for 10 min doing sets. It's usually the arm curling machine.
3. Why does it take so long to have a machine that's down to be repaired?

This place makes me feel better about going to a gym and exercising. It really is a judgement free zone where you always see smiling faces on the employees, and the customers, when they come in, and maybe as they're leaving, if they aren't too terribly tired that is. I enjoy my visits.

Went in to inquire? Very knowledgeable and friendly staff & not pushy! Anybody could/would feel comfortable exercising here! And certainly anyone could afford it, $10 or $19 mo! Plenty of free parking!

Planet Fitness is franchise gym that I have been to across the United States at least 45 plus times. There was no cons at this gym location. The pros are this gym is large, clean, and well maintained. I would recommend this gym to any beginning exerciser to due it's $10 membership fee or it's $20 fee for access around the United States for a person travelling.

Best Planet Fitness location in the NOLA area. Custoner service and cleanliness are great! I have been going there for 2 years and never had a problem. I'll tell you one of the biggest things for me is THEY KEEP IT COOL ENOUGH :). I have been to several other gyms in the area (including the other PF location) that just don't keep the temp low enough and I appreciate so much that this one does!! I have asthma and a low heat tolerance and so this is beyond important to me.

Decent gym for the price. If you are looking for just the basics in a gym this is your place. There are no classes just machines and a few trainers and if you pay for the black card you get to use the tanning beds, hydro massage beds, and massage chairs. My only complaint is i wish their stretching area was larger so there was more room for stretching.

Love the concept of NON-COMMITMENT; I mean commitment is good, but 24-mos to a fit was club, eh, what if... and then what it...
Planet Fitness gets it right. I can get my work out on without having to feel pressure if I decide I don't want in any more. And for the LOW LOW PRICE OF $10 dollars ($20 if you wanna bring a friend & visit other gyms) you can get your BODY RIIIIIIIGGGHHHTTTTT!!!! Ehhhhhh NOT CRAZY ABOUT THE ANNUAL FEE... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Love the vivid colors; hello PURPLE & GOLD, that's my future ya know. But anyway, I love the logo & the catch phrases "judgement free zone"... "judge ye not lest ye be judged..." No weighing scales is part of the JUDGEMENT-FREE ZONE. I totally LOVE IT!!!!!

The parking is a nightmare here. A lot of people parked across the street, but signs were posted saying our cars would be towed. It's very busy so I hope they prioritize finding a solution to this parking dilemma. Possibly that huge lot behind the building?! On a positive note the equipment is nice and there is a variety of it. The place is also very spacious.
