Broken sauna for months. Might as well go to another gym.
I love this location & their group exercise classes! Alorna, Shina, Tonya and Blake are the best instructors ever! Tonya R. is the bomb and offers a variety of great work outs! Shina R. adds new exercises every Saturday, she even brings the exercise balls or weights from the other side of the Gym, if needed, and shows us new stuff every time! She makes it hard, adds variety to it and makes it interesting, just goes extra mile to make sure we get good work out! We need more Power Circuit classes at this location on Mondays at least!
Very Mature Gym , If your looking to lose some weight & take your fitness progress seriously. Come here ! Great staff & Equipment!

They only have one person who does sign ups it seems, made an appointment with someone to give a tour, got there 5 mins early for the scheduled tour. The guy already took someone else 2 minutes after I got there. When he noticed I left after waiting around past the time that was already agreed on, he called me and then got very upset I left and then hung up on me. Very unprofessional and made me not want to join this gym. Hey LA fitness maybe hire more employees seeesh
Having tried several different fitness clubs around the area, I find LA Fitness to be one of the best. ARC Trainers, Hammer Strength MTS and plate load machines, etc. Friendly staff, never overly busy. Only real downside would be the weekend hours, which could be better.
Beware! This gym automatically signs you up for a 2 year contract without letting you know. When we signed up - the manager told us it was a month to month thing; but, a little over a year later now that we are trying to cancel - they tell me they signed me up for a 2 year contract and it will be $109 to break the contract. Just beware of LA Fitness.

Hours suck. Place should be open until 10pm all week. 7pm on friday and 5pm on weekends? Equipment is dated but usually not too busy. Nice staff.

Credit card fraud. They charged my credit card even if I cancel the membership. They charged my credit card a year later after the subscription was canceled.

I have a membership here. While the equipment is not the newest it works the staff is awesome. The personal training is great pending on who you are assigned to. I have no complaints great place to start your fitness journey.
I travel for a living and have a gym membership in every location. The equipment here isn't the newest and the weight area could use some more space, however the staff seem more inviting (unlike the larger newer one)
My son is working in Baton Rouge for the Summer and asked for a two month access to the facility, THEY LIED and MISLED him, saying he could pay first and last only and then cancel because an LA Fitness didn't exist where he lives full time. But they are charging $99 cancellation fee anyway for 36 month contract. Very unprofessional and untrustworthy!! I see a class action lawsuit brewing against these crooks!
This use to be a BALLYS FITNESS, they cost a LOT OF MONEY to build and keep up. Bally's could not sign up enough people I suspect because a lot of people signed with them in other towns and were charged the total membership and had their credit slammed by these people. See I got homeless and could not turn off my membership you don't plan to be homeless it just happens to you you are in bed sleeping your wife wakes you up cops say she wants you gone and you have to leave. That was it I was injured could not walk and I was homeless. They slammed enough people with these credit dings where they could not sign people under the Bally name so I guess they said lets try this name? LA fitness. Well now that I hear the business model reminds me of what they did me. They charged me the full membership charge not $99 sure wish they had just tried to ding my credit for a $99 charge rather than a few thousand dollars? TOO GREEDY they know I did not go to the club any more I had no place to live but Bally saw fit to ding my credit for thousands WOW kick a man when he is down PLEASE the rest of the world does.
They dont keep up the equipment at either location here in Baton Rouge. I went to the one in Austin, and it has been open a year and a half and all of their equipment is in better condition than BR's was after 6 months. Staff doesnt discipline any of the slobs and meatheads that workout here. Allow people to personalize the lockers, on and on - poorly managed.

My go to gym. It's never packed as the other location. Great staff and clean equipment.
