This is a great facility. Very clean and well organized. You can tell they strive to really teach gymnastics
I have nothing negative to say about this gym. The coaching is excellent and the staff is friendly. It is comical to me that others are that ignorant in their thinking when they say that since the owner has no gymnastics background, she can't coach. What about the countless hours of training through USAG that she has put in to learn the sport? What about becoming a judge to help learn the technical side? Does that not matter?
There are several other gyms in the area that have the same issue but are not being scrutinized. In fact, there is an optional coach at a gym nearby that also has no actual gymnastics experience however she managed to coach her daughter to a college level and is a judge at many of the LA meets.
If you are interested in your daughter doing gymnastics, visit the gym. Don't let these comments sway you in one direction or the other. Make your own choice. Both of my daughters have been here for 2 years and love it.
I left a short review last night, but for some reason it was deleted. My daughter was on team at this gym when it first opened. The owner promised a positive and fun gymnastics environment and that promise was short lived. I can attest to Gregory's comments. There's also so much more that could be said. We had a horrible experience at this gym and I do not recommend it.
With this being such a new gym, I had high hopes for this facility and organization, but those hopes quickly dissipated after I learned the true nature of this place. I've sent my daughter here for the past year, and have absolutely hated it! I'm friends with parents with girls on team, and they do not speak kindly to their experience either. To start this is a small facility with limited resources, but not only that, the staff is very under-qualified to be teaching your children. To make matters worse the leadership of this gym puts on a good front and a fake smile, but they are ruthless. I've heard from several staffers both present and old about how the owner talks very poorly of her team gymnasts, and shows obvious favoritism towards certain girls on team while neglecting others. The gym is unorganized and looks very chaotic any time you step inside. The owner invests very little time in making better gymnasts, and a lot of time in making a better name for herself. The team coaches speak down to the girls, and are not uplifting to the girls who struggle.There are a lot of gyms with many problems in this area, but this one by far is the worst in terms personality. There are gyms with worse problems by far, but this is not the place for you. I guarantee. This opened as a gym for girls to actually learn without fear of being reprimanded, but has now become a gym where girls are told to sit out because they don't fit the unrealistic standard that the owner and coach want them to be. There are incredible coaches here and there is some amazing young talent in this gym, but you'd have to be seeing them on a good day.There is almost no diversity on team, and very little in the gym as a whole. There have been many gymnasts that have left this program because of the owner and head coach, and I only see this number growing. From my conversations with people involved in and around this program, it is best that you send your kids wanting to pursue team gymnastics elsewhere, and you should definitely send your children wishing to learn tumbling skills to another gym.
