If you are new to fitness, and looking for a way to start getting healthy again (and can afford the monthly premium), this is a fantastic GYM to start with. I couldn't recommend it more. The programming is usually pretty good, especially for individuals in the early stages of their CrossFit journey. CrossFit is a lifestyle . . . and this is a great place to start for beginners, even intermediate athletes.
For athletes looking to take their performance to the next level, I don't think Maximus is the best possible option. For the cost of the membership, there are just enough irritations leading me to look at other more affordable options. Maximus has no air runners - an item I think should be a staple of any self-respecting CrossFit GYM - and there are a number of gyms in town with cheaper memberships that offer them. The N. Ash location is extremely packed - making it difficult to work out. Palumbo can be cramped as well (but less so than N. Ash). On a final note, both gyms have limited hours and you have to work on their schedule. I wish there was more flexibility and open hours so I could decide when I want to go, without having to coordinate with coaches.
Again, overall, I think this is an incredible GYM - and my gripes are only for the more seasoned athletes - most of us aren't.
