This was my go-to yoga studio when I lived in Lexington. They keep the clients connected through an e-newsletter that is very informative. The website is easy to use. There a handful of class offerings for all ranges of experience and yogic needs.

I wanted to like this place. Seriously, the tree house set up is so cute and such a great idea. I ended up hating the whole experience. I did the 5 classes for $55 deal. What a rip off. I'm not a beginner but the classes I did were so slow paced and not challenging. One of the instructors was the most mono toned, boring person. She did nothing to bring the class together and integrate the mediation aspect with the poses. My fellow yogis seemed cold and standoffish. There was one student with a very obvious weight problem that needed additional assistance. Finally, the owner Sharon(?) is so unlikable. Doesn't give off a positive and nurturing vibe at all. I cannot recommend. Too bad.

The most magical space I have ever practiced in. You can feel Sharon throughout the studio, her love and graciousness.

I've had the privilege of taking a couple classes at @barefootworksyoga lately and I have a couple more scheduled in the near future. While I have continued practicing at home, I feel like I need some help and instruction to progress. It's a huge #nsv that I'm going to public places lately to work out with other people. Even going to the gym and doing self-guided workouts can be a challenge due to anxiety and an inability to get out of my own head. So doing a concentrated workout alongside a group has, until recently, been nearly unthinkable.
.
I've been to a few other classes at different establishments and, while they've been good, I still struggled with being present. But the energy of Barefoot Works Yoga (both the space and its people) is so genuinely welcoming that I've been able to focus so much better. The teachers with whom I've worked so far seem to truly be interested in helping you build a better you- there's no pressure, just instruction and encouragement.

Barefoot is a wonderful yoga studio. The space makes you feel cozy and comfortable. There are classes for everyone. The teachers are all amazing and make you feel at home. Love this studio!

Barefoot Works Yoga is the most aesthetically pleasing place I have practiced yoga in. When you lay down in Savasana, you can see the sky through skylight of the raised wooden ceiling. The building is wooden & walls lined with live plants. The teachers are warm, welcoming, approachable & emphasize self-compassion & the other limbs of yoga (not just asana). If you want to practice in a group setting, I recommend this space. There at w variety of classes to select from Mind Body App. They are in the wooden building in front of Lowe's on Richmond Road. My favorite place to be other than home.
I started as a student, went to retreat & felt a warm & welcome community, took yoga teach training which was TRANSFORMATIONAL & now I am teaching in this beautiful space & have developed some of the richest connections with other people I've had. I travel for my career to different studios around the US, this one is my favorite & I have heard others provide the same compliment. Obviously I am grateful for this community/space/Sharon Tessandori (studio owner) & yoga. Namaste.
