I've been a member here for three-plus years now (mainly for the tennis). Facilities are well-maintained, the staff is friendly, and teaching pros are great. Highly recommend Lexington Tennis Club.
Also, special shoutout to the Tennis Store of Lexington (located within the club). Mike, Lee, Clinton and company are great, and it's a one-stop shop for all your tennis needs (stringing, equipment, accessories, and random barber shop chatter)!
The Tennis Store of Lexington is by far the best tennis shop in the area or online. Mike was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He cared more about us getting the right racquet than selling us an expensive one. He spent about 45 minutes talking to us to ensure we understood what was going on and making sure we made the right selection. He actually talked me out of the more expensive racquet I wanted after online research and let me try one that better suited my style. He even let me demo the one I found online and the one he selected. I chose the one he selected for me. I guarantee that you won't go wrong if you come to the TSL. They price match (Even with Tennis-Warehouse!) and offer $5 demos, along with professional guidance for any playing style and skill level. There is no reason to go to Dicks or buy online. I made that mistake before and will never do that again. We're lifelong customers of the TSL as long as we live in KY.
Great place to enjoy tennis! Atmosphere is cozy and staff is friendly. ...superb workout room with all the equipment you would ever need. I have really enjoyed the cardio tennis class. And if you have children, they have a day care.... always feel at home at this club
