It was a GREAT CLUB but now closing on May 3rd. SAD!
If you are into racquet sports of any kind, this is THE place in KC. Large club that has been around since maybe the end of the cretaceous period, not sure. Anyway, it's THE place for racquetball.
Great club with excellent amenities. I've been a member here for over a year and it has been well worth the cost. Now if I could just find some C or D players who are interested in a game of racquetball...
Visited this place on a guest pass to try the squash courts. Not super impressed. The size is not regulation standard, and there is a weird pillar on the back corner of the court that just throws off your game. Also, the floor outside the court is jet black, so everytime your ball goes to the back wall, you lose it in the background. Major upgrade is needed to the squash courts. Cant comment on the rest of the facilities.

I liked this place until recently when instead of fixing their mistake of giving me wrong information and charging me for extra two months they said they there is nothing they can do. I was charged monthly fee six months after I filled a form which then I was told is to close account and now I am being told it was just to freeze my account. This is so unprofessional and unethical on the part of such an organisation.

Good place has decent gym and if you are into squash or quick game of basketball they have you covered

Love this gym. Basketball and the covered pool in the winter are two of my favorite things. But the list is long. I like the boxing classes and spin class and yoga. I like their got tub in the locker room after a long swim. I like the weights as well as the treadmill/stationary bike room... But to top it all off.... The bar and restaurant upstairs.... Amazing in house made food. Fabulous. Nothing less.

I get a discount through work, so it is very affordable. The facilities are above average, and they offer free classes. They also have a swimming pool, a full basketball court, an indoor track and many racquetball and squash courts. There is organized ping pong and badminton throughout the week as well.

Definitely go to Annette's yoga classes & Razak's cardio kickboxing classes. Since I joined this place 6 months ago, I lost over 40 pounds and I feel better than I ever have.
Excellent club with all sorts of nice amenities. The locker room is very nice with a cold and hot tub, showers, etc. The pool is great and available year round. The bar/diner upstairs has awesome chicken strips, and then you can come join me for some Ping Pong in the gym!
I love the convenience of the gym being so close and the fact it's provided by my employer. Working out throughout lunch is great. Unfortunately, I don't recommend you leave a card on file. Chances are they won't make the charge for drinks, food, or any of your purchases at the gym until 8 months later and charge you the amount in full all at ones. Talking from self experience. Won't ever leave a card on file here again.
The Athletic Club is nice. They are always making improvements to the gym. What used to give off a "good ole boys club" vibe, now feels more like a modern gym. The staff are very nice and I like that the club has food and drink.
