My rating is all about the staff, in particular Lou.
He is the best. Always friendly and helpful. I usually workout about 5 am and Lou starts my day with a happy greeting. It’s very much appreciated.

Nice and clean gym, with a variety of equipment I need to accomplish my workout goals. Staff is very friendly and always approachable. They have addressed issues brought to their attention in a timely manner.
Other gym clients are friendly. Although the gym is not supposed to be a social party place, having a chat with others and exchanging fitness ideas, is refreshing.

I've been coming here since it opened. Love this gym and the classes. It doesn't have the amenities of some clubs but a pool, courts and smoothie bar don't matter to me. The variety of fitness classes is goodand the instructors are great. Take any class from Allison B, Katie D, Sarah H, Rachel S or Andrea B - they are all great! Friendly staff...just a great overall fitness club if you're into working out without the fancy extras.

Took me 6 months to get a month they charged me for me I didn't use. Countless calls and emails. I would not recommend using this gym their customer service is awful.

I love my gym community and the staff there but the facility is subpar. Definitely needing an update. New squat racks and a few deadlift platforms will be a good start

This is a review of the corporation: I would join only if I paid cash, monthly, & had a lot of time to haggle w/ the marketing & finance people. One thing I would insist on is a $10/ month credit for each & every marketing item generated by their abuse of my personal contact info (10 e.letters/ week + junk snail mail). That way, they will end up paying you.

The place is tired and need to be refreshed. Instead of squat racks, it needs cages. The weights are always all over the place and equipment is regularly out of service. Only reason I stay is because of location and price point.

I would give 0 stars if I could. These people are snakes. Don't do business with these people. They find ways to extend your contract and charge your bank without knowing. I called and cancelled my account and was called back a week later for a missed payment on that cancelled account. Sketchy through the entire contract. Go elsewhere!!!! Beware!!

It's weird that I've written a review for this place before but now it's gone. Not sure how that happens. This place would be much better if they would just clean the locker rooms. They smell horrible, shower walls are typically covered in mildew and the urinals are never flushed so the locker rooms just smells of urine.

Great gym. Just wish they offered a towel service like their Lawrence counterparts. I significantly appreciate that they're a 24 hr gym though.

I was a member here for 6 months. Not a bad gym at all. I never experienced any waits for equipment except for the leg press and pec deck.
The locker room is entirely way too small though. There is not enough surface area to change without bumping into the guy next to you. There also seem to be plenty of open lockers at fist glance, but you'll find that most of them have cleaning supplies or stuff that people have thrown in them. The showers also offer very little privacy, and there is no towel service which makes showering at this gym very inconvenient.
It does have a nice big hot tub, but when you use it you instantly become the center of attention for everyone in the club. Its not private at all and everyone stares at you as they walk past. Needless to say I only used this amenity once. That was enough.
Overall, if you are just looking for a place to lift weights or run on a treadmill, this place is great. However, if you use the other amenities you may be disappointed. There are definitely better gyms in close proximity for the same price with better services.
Edit: gym is under new management. My review may not be valid.

Genesis recently bought out all of the 24 Hour Fitness and Gold's Gyms in the area. I went to this particular location but was not impressed with the cleanliness of the facility or the accessibility of the equipment. If you're just looking for a basic gym this may be the place for you. But at their current price point there are other gyms in the area that will give you more bang for your buck. To their defense though, they do have premium locations in their portfolio. This one just wasn't one of them. Overall the staff is awesome, but not a place I would work out at long term.

Genesis not honoring my rates. i got a call today from club member telling me they will no longer be honoring the rates I had with 24 hours, despite being part of the terms of the transfer from 24 to Genesis. I mean, just 2 years, if that, they're already reneging; you would think if anything they would have changed this years down the rode. I haven't even done two whole renewals (my next renewal is late Aug '17) and they're already discussing with me a rate that is near triple what I had.
Completely dishonest. I even got a promise from the new manager (or lead consultant, w/e) of Genesis when I did my first enrollment. He shook my hand and assured me everything will be ok and if there is any issues, talk to him. And now this is where i'm left.

I got charged about $250 to sign up after they bought out 24 hour fitness and when I went the next week they had flyers up saying join for a penny. I know of people paying a way lower monthly price than me. I signed a one year contract but they kept charging me months after my contract ended because you have to sign a 30 day contract after your original contract ends which I did not know about so it caused my bank account to overdraft. It all seems like a big scam and they make it super difficult to cancel. Very money hungry. DO NOT GO HERE!
