They are awful when you try to cancel your membership. My son had a one year membership. At 11 months he went in to cancel. They told him he couldn't until it was one year. The one year mark was late March when businesses closed. I went in today to cancel, they charged me for the two months they were closed and I have to pay an extra month

Very poor management unfortunately. I spoke to there club manager, Aaron, and he took days to return my call. Sadly, I asked if I could speak with someone else to resolve my issue and he told me to go to there website and look the number up myself if I wanted to speak with someone else. I finally got a number for the corporate office and my phone call has yet to be returned after 2 voicemails and 5 days later. My husband was getting ready to sign up for a membership as I needed to cancel mine. They just lost his business and I will not be recommending this company to anyone I know.

I do not recommend joining this club. If I could give a negative star I would. I have been a member here for years. All of the equipment is old and broke. Every other treadmill has been broke since June 2019. The stairmAster said have been broke since then as well. You can limp along on one. The weight machines get stuck and are pretty much unusable. Low price but not worth it if you want to workout.

They have the equipment I need. Locker rooms are pretty crammed. But since genesis took over, I am hoping they do some major renovations to this place.

I love Aspen! I have been a member for over 15 years. Wonderful personal trainers. Wide range of group programs. I love the YOGA classes. Great place to stay health.

I have been a member of Aspen athletic clubs for several months now. It inspires me not only to get to the gym, but to seek out ways to make my workouts better. Jason Marshall has been crucial with this. The training there is incredible and I highly recommend them for weight loss, strength training or conditioning. My husband's job reimburses us for part of the membership fee which makes it even more economically affordable than the normal good membership price.

Love this gym! I started with personal training, and am going regularly on my own now. People of all ages, shapes and fitness levels work out here. I am not athletic, but the staff have been so helpful in helping me learn how to use machines and encourage me on my wellness journey. My son loves the kids golf class and fitness class on Saturday mornings. I highly recommend!

First time being in a gym for training. Was not made to feel fat and ugly. Have been given encouragement from my trainer who is awesome. He knew where to start me and keep me going. Also have seen and met people there that seem as happy as me. Havent had any money issues. Was clearly explained to me and has followed what was told.

Billing issues, just joined 7/30...paid the special and 8 days later debited my account for monthly fee already, .. when I called nobody could give the same answer why.......

This place cannot figure out their accounting & cannot be trusted with a credit card number! Since they went "paper free" the place is filthy. What good is wiping a machine with a cloth rag soaked with someone else's nasty??Just canceled my membership after proving AGAIN that I had indeed paid my bill and MOD could not bring himself to "say oh I guess we made a mistake - we're sorry". Planet Fitness looks pretty good!

I am 9 months pregnant (high risk) and preparing for a c-section, so I contacted Jason Marshall in FEBRUARY (the person who signed me up initially) to ask for a hold on my account and he agreed and did it...but he also forgot to mention that a hold doesn't prevent "maintenance fees" despite me not having used the facilities in well over 7 months...Needless to say, my account is now overdrawn and nobody wants to do anything about it! I'll be contacting the BBB ASAP! I'm also considering legal counsel because he made copies of my medical records without my permission which is a major HIPAA violation!

One of the worst mistakes I made was signing into a 12-month contract with ASPEN. Look elsewhere for a quality club, peeps.

Kind of friendly staff. Hours of operation are extremely inconvenient. Way too overpriced for what you get. The only time they seem to care is when you threaten to cancel your membership.

****Billing service at this place is horrible! I keep getting letters that say I am past due when they are supposed to automatically withdraw so how does that make sense? Then I call them to fix it and they say my account is in good standing. Morons! Also I have heard horror stories about trying to cancel your contract and the fact that they keep charging your card even after you've cancelled so just plan on calling your credit card company closing that card and getting a new one so they can't scam more money from you that they are NOT owed!****

The only reason I attend this gym is because it is literally within 4 blocks from my home. So it helps cut down the excuses for me not wanting to go on my lazy days.

However, the ventilation system in this facility is non-existent. It ALWAYS smells horrible no matter what the time of day and the air is always stuffy. Also, the equipment seems to be a bit outdated and they need more of the strength training machines (most of them only have one of each). There are more "gym rats" that workout here and "looky-loos". I definitely prefer Planet Fitness more and wish there was one closer to me.

The only reason I gave it 1 star is because -5 is not an option. 1/2 the TV's don't work & the other 1/2 are removed because they can't fix them. Place is a joke. They treat their long term customers like dirt. Lots of new members signed up at $10/mo. I tried to extend my membership for the same price & it was no deal. They also hide an annual $40 cleaning fee in their contract. I know they don't use it to clean or maintain the equipment. Maybe they could use it to hire a consultant & teach them how to provide customer service & manage a health club. I would highly recommend anyplace but here.

do yourself a favor. Go to Crossfit Merle Hay which is literally next door. Those guys know what they're doing and have no problem helping out anyone and everyone that comes through. Aspen isn't worth a penny
