This small studio is filled with positive energy--it's the place where I came to appreciate, and then love, different types of Yoga. (I actually disliked Yoga before, being naturally very impatient and unfocused. You might be able to guess from that how much a year at this studio has helped me . . . and my lower back feels so much better also!) The owner of the studio, Crystal, is a genuinely kind person, and that is what makes it all work. She also teaches classes--and is a skilled and patient instructor.
I am most devoted to Kundalini Yoga with Mervyn Alphonse. This class is every Wednesday and 5:30 p.m. (and most Sundays at noon).
There are other Kundalini-based classes and workshops, like Philip's Meditation class on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m., which includes crystal bowls and gong at the end after meditation.
Another regular for me is Ruth Cohen at noon on Tuesday and/or Thursday and Mallory Rose on 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ruth and Mallory are amazing--they both bring a lot to each class beyond excellent Yoga instruction.
I feel bad not mentioning everyone I've enjoyed classes with. I can't think of any classes I haven't gotten a lot from, even if they aren't ones I go to regularly.
I will always be grateful for my practice with the beautiful instructor Jacqueline--Jacqueline is one of those rare people that glows with love, and the way her students feel about her is representative of what a good community this is.
