I'm torn. We use the YMCA After School program during the school year at my daughter's elementary school and the staff that runs that program is amazing and we love it.
Because of that we signed my daughter up for summer programs being offered that YMCA unfortunately decided to cancel. Ever since we got the call saying they were cancelling the program it has been a huge headache to get our payment refunded (we have still not been refunded). Each person we talk to at this location gives us a different story about our refund - from that it was never put in for, saying there is no record of a refund ever being started on my account, to telling us dates we will "for sure" have the refund by (spoiler: the dates came and went with no refund), to blaming it on their billing department "dropping the ball." I have been promised our refund will be "rushed" by multiple staff members and - shocker - the rushed refund never comes. AND I've been getting emails every single day "reminding" us that the program is coming up and telling us to make sure to attend and how much fun it'll be ... for the program they cancelled.
From these interactions it's clear that this location is very disorganized and not well run. We will not be signing up for programs directly through this location ever again and unless you're cool with them hanging onto 300+ of your dollars for weeks on end with no answers or urgency, I suggest you don't either.
