I am a fan of Equinox in other cities and the new Lincoln Common location, however the Lincoln Park location is poorly run and in need of a total makeover. For the fees they charge you're better off joining a local gym for $25 a month because the LPK Equinox location isn't much better.... more

This place is perfect for people looking for a classic gym with a ton of machines, a ton of free weights, and little to no crowds.. They signed up my underage son for a year membership, promising he could cancel at any time, then wouldn't cancel for two months.... more
Carmel has confident and sensitive hands and deep knowledge of the body. I have had a couple of sessions of Structural Integration and experienced wonderful changes. Highly recommend.... more

Really nice to get outdoors with some climbing. Great experience with a good mix of easy and difficult routes.. Please let us use our own helmets! My wife and I flew from the Seattle area to visit Chicago, read everything about the climbing wall INCLUDING where it says we can use our own gear only to show up and be told we must use the helmets that they provide.... more
The equipment is well maintained and the staff is nice. They have all the standard cardio/weight equipment as well as a great functional fitness area. The locker rooms aren't the best but they get the job done.... more
Very rude staff as a rule at all locations. Many staff members gawk at gym members while they are working out or sit around on their phone. Dirty, old and broken equipment. Suspect positive reviews are fake.... more
Pros: Friendly staff, spacious, clean pool and good variety of equipment. Cons :Water fountain had been scheduled for maintenance for months. The mats are worn and sometimes shereded in half.... more

I was a member here when I lived in Chicago and after moving and joining other gyms, I cannot say enough good things about this gym. No other gym I've been to stands up to LVAC. Incredibly clean, well kept, excellent spa-like locker rooms, and the teachers and trainers were amazing, specifically one man who taught Body Pump! He put together the best playlist and always brought his energy and excitement and I miss his class! Highly recommend this gym.... more
It's a great community and facility! The club is clean and has so many programs/events. Tennis, fitness, and social all in one membership!. The weight area is too small and they are missing critical equipment such as a calf raise machine and dedicated tricep dip station.... more
Very strange experience, it's like paying $32 to work out at a hotel gym with 50 other people in basically what felt like the dark . Interesting concept that I think in theory has potential but needs a bit of work, I thought the transitions were too fast to make it an effective workout for "lower focus" from floor to the treadmill.... more
