This place has been incredible fo our family. We all started off knowing absolutely nothing about the sport. Since last fall our love for the sport and all those who attend has grown immensely. For myself and my kids its extremely important to know the basics of self defense. There is so much to learn and Colossal always provides. This gym is welcoming, motivating and everyone here is so knowledgeable. Come check this place out you wont regret it.

I came to Pocatello and checked out several different academies to train Jiu-Jitsu, but Colossal is the one I fell in love with. There are 3 main reasons for this.

1. From day one they let me "roll" (spar). I had trained a little before coming here, so I thought I knew what I was doing. The people at Colossal showed me how much more I needed to learn.

2. From my first conversation with David, the head coach, I could see that the number one thing was his love of jiu jitsu. He runs a jiu jitsu school first, and a business second. He's not in it for the money.

3. The classes, especially fundamentals always get lots of feedback and direction from the instructors, whoever they are. You will get personal help with every technique you learn, and if the class is large, many of the experienced students will take the time to take the new ones under their wings.

I've spent the last 6 months spending attending every class I possibly could at Colossal, and there isn't a school that I could recommend more.

Highly recommended Dave and the crew at Colossal FC. Welcoming atmosphere for someone visiting from out of town looking to train. Trained both public and private lessons.

Hands down, one of the best places I have ever had the pleasure of training and teaching. The guys at Colossal are great and the atmosphere is positive and friendly. A wonderful and cooperative learning environment.

I have trained with this team and these guys for years. You will not find a better place to learn self-defense in a fun, safe, and effective manner! The kids program will help your children build confidence, prevent bullying, and learn self-defense all while having a great time.

I've been training here for a while now. The instructors, Davy and Paul, are excellent teachers, mentors, and friends. The gym is clean, the company is great, and the price is excellent. Everyone is friendly and kind. It's a welcoming community and a great place to train. 5 stars!
