CrossFit Fireside is Awesome! The workouts are all based around a specific programming to help everyone at the gym reach new milestones in their fitness. Every day each workout has scaling options for people at any fitness level. The coaches will push you to challenge yourself in order to help you progress, but they'll never make you do something you can't do. There is a very strong focus on building a foundation of correct form on every lift. Then you can work on building up your intensity.
In just 4 months I have increased my PRs on all my major lifts and in some lift I have PRed a couple of times already. My lower back always used to burn out first on my workouts. Ben, one of the Owners/Coaches, showed me how to use a new machine the gym got a while back and I have used that 3 times a week and my lower back isn't as big of a weakness as it used to be.
I also started working with Catie, also an Owner, on my nutrition. She helped me understand that I was eating enough. I have been following her instructions and meal plan almost perfectly and I have lost weight, dropped body fat percentage, put on muscle, increased my energy, and stopped getting super sore after my workouts.
The community is great. I started a free week trial and it felt like I was joining a big family. People remembered me by name and were interested in getting to know me. I have made a ton of new friends. If I could just hang out at CrossFit Fireside all day I would, but I life's responsibilities won't allow it.
