Nice club. Definitely better than your average gym chain. The staff is very nice. The club also sponsors special events, which was surprising from a gym.
I've only been a member for like six months but I like hnl club as a supplement to my other physical wellbeing needs like training. Here I'm able to access excellent classes, but my favorite are the hot tubs (1 outside with my wife, 1 inside adjacent cold plunge and saunas). Parking can become a challenge during peak hours (like 5 pm when people get off work and a lot of classes), but there is a biki stop right across King Street and if you get there earlier, parking is free for 5 hours for members. I like the health food bar a lot too and at night their restaurant serves good food and legit cocktails my wife enjoys. I'm still finding new classes to try and see flyers for cool events like pickle ball tournaments in the elevator from time to time too. Good trainers/coaches - soon class was intimidating to me but the instructor is very welcoming and won't tell at you if you need to taper your pace a bit. Oh, and they have nice FloWater machines to fill up on quality hydration. Highly recommend those considering to try a week free.

I visited this place for an event and was amazed what they offered. It's more upscale compared to others. There's a lot of exercise equipment and they offer a lot of classes also. Their monthly fee is a little pricey for me
This club is by far the best club in Honolulu hands down. It has everything in one spot for you. The social aspect of this club is amazing. Being able to workout then go to the pool or hot tub and finish it off at the restaurant and bar lounge is just too perfect. Not to mention the 5 hrs validated parking makes it such a stress free experience. I can take my time and enjoy taking care of myself surrounded by awesome people.
AFTER a long week, I was looking forward to nice relaxing soak in the hot tube. The temp in the "hot tube" was cold, it read 94 deg. I went into steam room and it was the same temp as the hot tub. Additionally, the steam room smelled moldy. Reported it to several people who then called in the maintenance guy. Informed it would be 1.5 hour to work on it (temp). I'm out a luck tonight I guess. At least the shower was hot.

THE MAMBO ROOM, at the Honolulu Club
(The Latin/Hispanic music & DJs at this lounge...suck!!! Plain & simple) who wants to pay $10 for barely 3hrs of bad music?
CONS
1. The DJ plays...over-recycled songs (out of a laptop). The same boring & tiring playlists are played (in the same exact order) for the next 4 to 6 months, before the DJ decides to mix them up or change the songs.
It is pretty bad when (after attending a couple of Fridays) you have already memorized the songs and 'their exact order of play.'
2. The DJ or Event Planner, only wants to play just a couple of genres of Hispanic Music that he/she likes and to please only certain groups & cliques of dancers, ex: Dance students, Professional Dancers, Dance Instructors or Experienced Dancers. The Mambo Room mostly plays [Salsa & Bachata]...that's it. You can forget about other genres of Latino Music that you/others might like or want to hear.
3. The DJ gets very upset & gives you an attitude, if you dare to request a certain song or ask him to change-up the genre.
4. Hardcore Cliques and Snubbish dancers. Come on! Grow up people, it's not High School anymore.

Review is based on the bar/cafe ... what a gem! Almost don't want to give away my spot for the best place to grab a drink or bite if seeing a show at the Blaisdell. Great happy hour with regular live music.

A great Athletic Club to Work out, take classes, play racket sports and socialize. Lounge area has something new every night.

The squash and racquetball courts are in great condition and they have an active club of players to hit with. The gym facilities are spacious and well laid out, with more facilities on the rooftop. Absolutely love this place! I go for Mambo every Friday nights and just love it here! Salsa's Mambo Fridays are located on the 7th floor. You exit the elevator and check in with the front desk. There's usually 2 guys always working and they are just the greatest! Always laughing and making jokes! Arnold and John definitely lay down the law when they need to but never fail to make me smile! TIP: Don't piss them off!..in other words, don't act stupid! Cover charge is $10 and it goes until midnight! There's an open bar too! Alcohol, music, and handsome fellows, too (front desk boys)!
The Honolulu Club is home to Linda Melodia Dance Co. Salsa classes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday around between 7 and 9pm. The Honolulu club is also home to the Mambo Room on Friday nights 9pm to midnight. Great salsa merengue Bacharach and cha-cha dancing!
Great place to work out, take various classes, relax, socialize, etc.! Conveniently located with friendly and knowledgable staff! Fully equipped, clean and modern machines! Membership comes with free 5 hours parking in the building.

Absolutely love this place and go whenever I can for the Mambo Fridays! The parking is decent, but do not park on the lower level. The turns are extremely tight and you may mess up your car. The restaurant is delicious and the dance floor is always live! The view is also spectacular! I am never disappointed when I come here.
