Joining Pilates was one of the best choices I have ever made. I've been taking Pilates classes and private lessons for over 10 plus years. Pilates is great for improving posture (better posture means looking thinner); teaches how to use small exercise equipment like foam rollers and resistance bands; strengthens the core muscles, and improves balance. Because Beyond Pilates Studio classes are small, you get individual attention. My instructor, Diana, when she found out I was going to have hip surgery, had me do exercises to strengthen the hip and leg muscles, which meant that I had a fast recovery from surgery. Of greatest benefit to me is that I have to totally concentrate on the exercises and specific muscles involved to obtain the greatest physical benefits. That means focus on the moment-resulting in stress relief and relaxation. If you are not learning Pilates, you're not living right!
