Good gym for SCAD students and faculty. A lit of equipment. Parking is painful

My daughter is a plus size girl and walked in and was given the most hateful disgusting looks to the point she left in tears and does not want to go back and work our for the fear of being judged.

It's alright for being a private schools gym. Honestly I've seen better but it's holds up just fine.

I've been working here for a while, and so far I love the place. As a SCAD student who lives WAY off campus, I like that I can socialize with different majors here and work a flexible schedule. Every now and then, I run into students who either get an attitude about the dress code or get mad at the staff for not extending the SCAD operating hours when the "you have [15 min, 10 min, 5 min] to finish your workout" announcements are called (as if we were a Planet Fitness), but no place is perfect. If you can put up with the rebels, then you'll be fine here :)

Good luck finding a parking spot during the day though.

ClubScad has pretty much all the equipment you could ever need, and all very close by. The lockers work great, and the staff are nice.

(+)As opposed to earlier comments, my experiences with the staff were pleasant. They are usually helpful to their best knowledge.
(-) The place is small, with no chance to handle the large number of SCAD students not wanting to spend extra money on a gym membership, so there's no point of going in rush hour.
There are no showers.
There's one single dressing room.
Both the weekday and weekend opening hours are set up for people with 9-5 jobs, not students who try to juggle endless study and work hours.

Bottom line: Club SCAD is a placeholder for a real gym, SCAD's joke in bad taste/insult towards their students.

Im A SCAD student so dear tourists this is not usable for you.
Its a really small gym but its really nice. It makes it so that i feel like more people are stareing at me. Especially because i only know how to use the treadmil. And theres no space for yoga

Absolutely horrible example of hospitality and how to raise our children. We've been to Savannah several times and were on our way to a late evening (8 pm) tour, we got a little lost and I had to use the restroom. Popped in here this evening and walked up to the young SCAD student admitting I was a tourist, lost and needed to use the restroom quite badly. Response I received, this is a private facility, sorry. I explained again we were lost, I was sorry, could I pay for a daily membership. No sir, you'll need to move along with a chuckle. Could you please direct me to the nearest facility. It's back that way, pointing back behind us. I asked could you give me directions. Her response again pointing back that way. Terrible example of the stewardship an institution and its students should display to a city that relies on tourism to get by. Your parents, your school and your city should be ashamed of you.
