Ditto on most one star reviews. $160 per month and continuing to rise. Not worth the $$$ for just using the free weights and machines. LA Fitness is much better value for the money.
Really Really nice workout facility! Visiting from Minnesota, reminds me of home where it all started!! Reminds me a spa with a gym attached.
First things first, it is extremely difficult to get pictures of the inside of a gym without appearing to be taking pictures of the patrons inside. I've tried my best to not include any pictures of any patrons and was thus unable to capture any pictures of the sauna, both inside and out, the hot-tub, or the two full-size basketball courts.
Secondly, the price. This is an expensive gym. Being in Sandy Springs and being marked as a Diamond Club makes the monthly dues that much more high-end. Well, what's the difference between the demarcations of Diamond vs. Platinum vs. Gold? Honestly, not much. The Diamond locations are a bit more exclusive, typically located in more high-end areas, and offer the ability to go to any other gym location or type. In addition, the Diamond locations are kept cleaner and are more prone to machine upgrades.
This gym is definitely vibrant and teeming with activities. They have very flexible hours, being closed from midnight to 4:00 AM only. The gym is extremely clean on the inside and there is ample parking both within the deck and directly adjacent to the gym entrance. There are two swimming pools, one indoors and one outdoors. The one outdoors has a giant slide similar to one found at water parks.
On the third level of the gym there are two full size basketball courts and a plethora of squash courts. The free weights and machines are located on the second floor, in addition to the cardio equipments which it was noted all have their own individual televisions.
The first floor has the locker rooms, which flow easily to the indoor and outdoor pools. Inside the locker rooms are razors for shaving and other toiletries for convenience. In addition, towels are complementary and are placed throughout the locker room. The first floor also has a full end cafe with Peets Coffee and smoothies available for purchase.
Overall, a very nice gym with all the amenities you could ask for. Is it worth the additional premium? I'm not sure, but if you're in the market for a high end gym in Atlanta, I would definitely recommend looking into this location.
Good place and from 8:00 p.m. it is very easy to use two machines or bars at the same time as this facility isn't very busy! I tried using L.A. Fitness close by and it was difficult due to the crowd.
The swimming pool outside is great in the late afternoon as is the cafe on the inside.
I love Lifetime Salon! There is a new stylist named Brittney who is a color expert. Went for highlights, lowlights, and cut and LOVE everything she did. She fixed my layers and made it super easy to style. LOVED getting the free day pass to the gym when I came too!!!
I've been a member for 2 years at Lifetime and I can only say that it is OK at best. My main issue is that everything feels broken and is rarely repaired. For instance, I've been looking at the same three treadmills with 'Needs Repair' signs on them for the last two months. Nothing seems to have been done to them. Multiple treadmills with dead sound, missing channels and blurry TVs. It's pretty terrible for such a pricey place. This all has however now turned into a running joke with my group text of 20 other members. We're all pretty excited to drop as soon as another gym opens in bhead.
Also, not interested in management replies asking me to call an 800 number of send them an email. Just acknowledge your incompetence and fix your mess.

Lifetime is awesome.. You can spend all day at this place!!! I was a member for years in Garland and just visited this gym. Great experience.
The people leaving 1 Stars have personal issues and aren't very smart.. Temp holds on account yes are only for a short period then charges start re-occurring.. And if you want to cancel yes you have to get off your rear and go to the gym! Understanding what you commit to before signing would be a good idea.. Maybe asking if I want to cancel after signing up for any reason how would I do that? :)

Members should know that when Lifetime representatives offer to put your membership on HOLD, what they actually mean is that they will put your membership on a TEMPORARY HOLD, and that after a certain amount of time, it reverts back to a regular full priced membership, with your credit card charged accordingly. Unlucky for me, I didn't realize this until two charges had posted.
NO!!!!!!!!! One star because I couldn't leave zero. Just try to cancel... You need to either send a certified letter (seriously, what year is this?) or go in and sign on their keypad. They are very busy selling you training, products, health testing - thousands of dollars worth of services - but you can't get out without satisfying their arbitrary cancellation policy requirements. Unless you plan to be a member for life, just say no!
We became members of LT Sandy Springs this summer with the main goal of enjoying the pool with our little kids. The club exceed my expectations. Although there were lots of families with lots of little -and wet- kids, everything was tidy, well organized and clean. You can always find kind staff members willing to help. And although there are more people during weekends, the club never looked overcrowded: there were always clean towells, clean chairs, enough space. Always good smell everywhere (something not easy at indoor areas) People I met there were nice, polite and well mannered. There weren´t loud noises (specially those insufferable shoutings from kids and moms) nor balls or big toys disturbing in the pool. Everybody looked very respectfull. There are permanent breaks at the pools where everbody should stay outside and kids seize the moment to go to the bathroom. My kids also took swimming lessons and their coaches were very nice and professionals. In only 4 classes they improved surprisingly. More things to tell but It´s becoming too long...I had a great experience I would like to share and hope to repeat soon .Of course I very much recommend it!

DONT DO IT! They are obviously suffering financially because they will not stop charging my account and I cancelled 3 months ago. Now they are attempting to collect from me. I had my bank block them. Because I no longer live in Atlanta and cant come in person they are calling and emailing daily. Shady practices. There are much better places with honest business practices.

Also I had the displeasure of seeing two men worked at the gym on this one occasion sharing a shower together. Then as I left these same two young men went into a room together that led to the employee section of the cafe. It's too expensive. The guy at the front desk, Chase is awesome though.

Do NOT work here. My first interview, Jonathan the personal trainer manager was 10 minutes late. My second interview, I waited 45 minutes (and that could have been longer, a trainer came and told me the manager was with someone else). I also have heard from other past trainers that worked here they did not like the place. I was patient, prompt, and giving Jonathan the benefit of the doubt. He never even tried calling me or emailing to say he was sorry for the wait. Here is my first ever bad review of any place. Congrats Lifetime Sandy Springs!
They need to stop blaring music outside at 8:00pm on a Monday. You would think they would have space inside for classes. Would be nice if they were considerate of the residential areas around them where many of their members live.
Lifetime charged me twice for an assessment about a month ago. I was promised multiple times by the trainer there that they would refund me for one. It's now been a month later and no refund has happened. The head personal trainer said he didn't see two charges and there was nothing he could do. When I sent him my credit card statement with both charges, he said that's strange. it's now been over a week and no update from them.
The gym is nice, but the monthly fee is so high it's debatable if it compensates for it. I've been paying $130 per month for 2 years now because it's a great location for me. Once I get my refund (If I ever do..) I'll be switching gyms because of the bad service and lack of urgency of my refund (which is hundreds of dollars.)
It's really disappointing that a premium gym can care so little about a loyal customers money. It's as clear as day that they need to refund me, but nobody there seems to comprehend that. Frustrating!
I've been happy up until recently with the gym. I would look at all options before deciding on Lifetime. There are many LA Fitness's and a gym called the concourse a few miles away that is very nice (and has tennis courts.)
Update: I have since been refunded by the gym after persistent follow-up with them. It was definitely a frustrating experience. I have increased the rating to 3 stars based on the gym, not the service.
Visited this gym yesterday and I was quite impressed. The layout is really cool and there is plenty of space for everyone. The staff was very nice and helpful to me. Thanks!
Always clean. Staff always friendly. I really like it here. It's pricey but worth it. I joined at the end of a month and was able to get a promotional discount so that might be the best time to join.

Clean and well equipped club even though I completely agree with the property theft situation mentioned in previous reviews. Not even a water bottle is safe if left unattended. The management really needs to looks into this especially into who they let to use the club. I was visiting this location a few times (I'm a member of another LT club) and noticed quite a few people who clearly were not members in the club hanging around the locker room.
This location is filled with incompetent and very rude workers. They think they can treat you however they want and talk down on you and make you feel like you are nothing when you have problems. They were racist towards my friend who was my guest and told her her that she wasn't allowed to come in because she looks like "someone off the street." They laugh at you when you have a problem and have a very grandios demeanor. Save yourself the trouble if you are not a rich looking white person, because they definitely have no respect for anyone. I will be contacting corporate about this.
If you are interested in joining the gym, there is a guy named Leemar who is more than happy to scare you away from the gym. He will also tell you that he doesn't want people coming off the street into the gym. He will tell you there is no such thing as a free trial period and the only way to try the gym is to buy a month to month membership or 12 month membership even if you tell him it's your first time. The website said I could try for free for a weekend.
