Great gym. Awesome staff. Very clean. Nice rest rooms with showers. Not crowded.

Spacious and lots of (working) equipments to workout. The staff is a little nonchalant... As a first time visitor and felt like i had to pull info out of them. They did not offer a tour of the gym ( did my own and asked questions on my way out)

Since new management took over about two weeks ago, the environment has changed dramatically! The prior management was friendly and helpful, truly genuine. The new management runs the gym like a boot camp. The alarm goes off every single day for ridiculous reasons. The new manager is unfriendly, and doesn't even look you in the eye, very impersonal. A whole written of rules at the desk and you can't do this, you can't do that attitude. Many people are very upset and are considering leaving Planet Fitness for another gym. It's no fun going to the gym anymore. If you are seen having fun, the alarm goes off and are threatened to be asked to leave. The new management is more concerned about a person making a noise on their last rep than all the torn up and dirty equipment in the gym. If this continues, I and others will be leaving this gym. I've been a member for four years and now it's no fun coming here.

I LOVE going to Planet Fitness. I am warmly welcomed and the atmosphere is friendly. I get my workout done and enjoy my time!!!

Great facility. Spacing becomes an issue sometimes as some of their equipment are placed very closely together. Does get crowded from time to time, which makes the spacing issue worse. Hydro massage beds are great, as well as the massage chairs. Locker rooms are pretty clean with great spacing in the shower area. Maintenance does a good job with the upkeep. Overall, it's an A rating for me.

I have been to PFs in Illinois, Georgia, and Florida. This one is the worst. Here's why:
1. Outdated Equipment - Handles are missing from some of the strength machines, some of the cables are loose, and there is a mix of different free weight brands
2. Facilities - Some sinks don't work, and the water fountain has hardly any pressure
3. Staff - Nice people, but they don't pickup anything. The free weights are constantly left all over the facility, and are mix matched in the racks.
4. Space - It's too small for the location. This is a city area, not rural. Good luck getting on a smith or cable machine if you work 9-5.
Time to cancel and move on to a better place.
EDIT: I moved on to a better place :) Goodbye PF!

Gym is what it is. "Okay" is a stretch. Employees are useless. No greeting, nothing. Not one word at check in. Nice way to keep it warm and welcoming. They simply don't care. Instead of leaning on the front counter, howzabout CLEANING something?

This place is huge! It has tons of machines. Lots of variety of workouts. I throughly enjoyed my visit here. It is better than my hometown one in TN. The staff is friendly & helpful. The place is clean. The lockers & restroom is nice.
If your a local, this is the place to workout.

I really liked going back to a gym cuz I had knee surgery and wanted to " work it".
Great place but I had to drop it when I got a job.

Jeez, so many people there ALL THE TIME! Except late night.. And I mean LATE! If you can afford even a few bucks more a month it'll be worth it. You shouldn't have to get up the energy to, not only exercise, but also deal with a mob of people in a vulnerable environment such as a gym.
But it also helps that I found some sticky brown stuff caked all over a handle in the ab room.. as if gyms weren't gross enough.

lots of weight hogs that want to come in and hoard all the weights and I find a lot of the time people leave weights laying around like a consistent scavenger hunt for the weights I need , but generally if you have the time and patients you can usually find what your looking for as a beginner.

The staff was ok, the machines seemed to be in good working order and they had a small TV attached to each one which was kind of cool. However, the showers were horrible. They were very dark and almost every one of them had trash in them and hair in the drains. They obviously are not kept clean. I honestly won't go back to this location. I travel a lot and am always stopping in at a new gym location, and this was by far the worst one I've ever been too. Even when I pulled up to it, it looked like it was going to be run down.

Like I said and asked before. Why can I not pay cash to join your gym? The owner replied that it's easier to pay, blah blah blah. Funny my fitness pal gym was HACKED.

Owner also said in reply that it's easier so I wouldn't miss a payment. How the hell would I miss a payment if I paid the whole 6 months or yr in full IN CASH? I would like an answer from this genius owner. Don't be shy and an idiot. Just answer the question.

I will make another attempt to join and if refused that I can not pay in cash, I am going to seek counsel on discrimination. I do know that on every Bill it says legal tender public and private debt and in god we trust. If you feel that you have to keep those of us who use cash out and only except those who give and basically forced because you demand bank info and can put clients info in hackers hands then so be it. My cash is better than giving you my info. I hope you can come to terms on excepting cash money. I really don't like being excluded because I only believe in paying the old fashion normal way of doing business.

Set up is good but this place is really crowded in the evenings. I really prefer the newer one on Waters/Florida Ave.

Very clean, friendly staff. It is a small gym, has no classes like yoga or kick boxing or anything like that. Only the machines. The gym has free WiFi, lockers, and showers. Make sure to bring your own lock if you use the lockers!

I would like for the owner of company to contact me. I would like to know why I can't pay cash for a 6 month membership black card? I do not use my plastic unless emergency. I only use cash for the reason that if you need credit then you shouldn't be spending. I've kept my identity from being stolen and plan on continuing this safe practice. To be blunt and to the point....i trust no one. I just want to know why your prejudice of persons that can afford to pay with money up front? I think this is a bad practice. I don't want you with my personal info and access to my accounts.

Life changing experience at Planet Fitness. I am 63 years old and had a heart attack 2 years ago, I finally decided to exercise more and joined PF about 4 months ago. I workout with a trainer his name is Ernesto, he never screams at me but has a way of pushing me calmly to get the best out of me. I have never felt this good in my life and look forward to go workout. I have never had a bad experience at this location, staff very friendly, the facility is always clean and I am excited to always go there. As far as my personal health goes my blood pressure is stabilized and my heart is functioning normal, my cardiologist has told me that one more good echo sonogram and he will start reducing my medication. I owe all this to Ernesto and Planet Fitness, my health is better and my body is beginning to look better. No matter your age or how you look join and watch the change in your life start happening, don't wait until something happens to you join now. I cant say thank you enough to Ernesto and Planet Fitness...

It's a great atmosphere but lately the machines that I use often have been really wonky or are out of order completely. I wish they would put more effort into the equipment at this location.

I am so disappointed with this gym. I joined this Planet Fitness location few months ago and signed up for the design your workout class. I sat down personal training who gave my husband and I some good information and then encouraged us to sign up again so that he could show us how to use the machines. I went back and he walked be around and he showed be the machines in 15 mins and then said I was on my own.
I thought that was strange, I signed up for another session with him and then arrived only to find that my name had been removed from the list. When I asked if this was normal, no one had an answer. Since then I have been working on on my own and have never seen this trainer work with another customer. Very disappointing since part of the reason I signed up with Planet Fitness was to take advantage of classes.
If you plan do to the same my recommendation is to sign up with either the Planet Fitness on 19 or W Waters and Florida. Their staff are friendly, helpful and wanting to work. I hope this helps someone.

Avoid this one!
Probably the worst planet fitness I've ever been to. Talk about "lunky" attitudes, there were at least 5 employees for the entire time I was at the gym sitting at the front desk having a loud, inappropriate conversation who gave me a sneer when I had the audacity to try to check in. There was equipment all over the floor. All the equipment was sticky like it had never been wiped down. I stupidly went to use the hydromassage and it smelled so bad I had to get up because I thought I would vomit. Trash cans over flowing, showers backed up This was a truly disgusting experience.

They let all sorts of riffraff come in without memberships. Kids and teenagers destroy the equipment and steal the batteries from the remote controls. It's so pathetic. At night homeless people who have memberships sleep inside the gym. The only reason why I still have a membership is because it's a 24-hour gym. If it wasn't for that. I would have dropped my membership a long time ago.

Not as good as other PF clubs, but it's fine for the cost compared to other gyms. Compared to other clubs, there is more equipment that is not quite working properly. Also, the staff is usually busy on their cell phones or chatting with each other rather than greeting customers, so I miss the old family feel of the PF I used to go to.

I would like to know the purpose of having a locker room full of lockers if you don't permit members to use them overnight. Many people such as myself make the commute to work, and would rather not pack my toiletries every day - ideally, I would like to use a locker to store those items....you know, because that's what a locker is for - to store stuff you don't want to take home and bring back every day.
The new sign states that you will begin "cutting locks off for safety reasons". As far as customer service goes - horrible approach. I think instead of cutting locks off of lockers, you should spend your time cleaning the disgusting AC vents and shower drains that continuously back up in the men's locker room. In my opinion, that poses more of a "safety concern" than a paying customer locking up their personal items.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you will reconsider your stance on locker policy.
