LA fitness is a great gym period. They have plenty of machines, dead weights and strap machines, rowing machines and all the cardio stuff like the treadmills and elipticals. They have plenty of classes which I have not tried. Im lucky I live close by so I dont need to drive far. The staff are freindly and helpfull. The bathrooms are clean and they do have a sauna on the guys side or the guys bathroom not sure about the ladies. I very rarely have to wait on a machine and the hours are acceptable. The gym is clean and have a lot of the hand wipes spread out around the gym. The rates are reasonable and I enjoy going there. The only reasons I did not give them a five is... 1. they are not 24 hours like anytime fitness and 2: they do not have a pool, ( I love to swim). The rates are fair for what you get. It is not under or over priced its at where it needs to be. Go try it for free with a try it period and see how you like it. Just tell them Al sent you, no don't do that they will charge double , just kidding. Just do it! Cheers.

Not the best LA fitness, no pool or other amenities but it's still better than anything around the area. Lots of cardio, weights, spin, yoga, and a few more classes. Really nice place to workout, big enough to make it easy even during busy times

Old workout equipment desperately needs updating. Lacks a lot of features other LA fitness gyms have like a pool and/or basketball court. Not many free weights and poor amount of essential machines like Leg Press.

They've updated their stuff and what an amazing difference happy smiley faces when you walk in now the gym is always spotless and clean the machines are 99.9% working the only actual complaint that I have is I wish they opened up between 6 and 6:30 on the many of us like to work out early on the weekends by 8 what ready to do other things please reconsider opening up earlier on the weekends

So I really like the LA Fitness brand and clubs. I usually workout at the Lutz and South Tampa locations. Both of those locations are nice; this location is not top of the line. What I mean is it is spacious like the other clubs but it's in a old office building, the equipment is ancient as well. This location is also dirty, looks like the equipment has not been wiped down in ages. I feel like members at this location deserve a discount. I noticed they were painting today so maybe they are planning to upgrade. Overall looking past that you will still get in a good workout.

PLEASE get some new spinning instructors! I have an issue that was never taken care of and as a result I don't spin anymore. Wrong for a gym to allow this to happen to a member. Classes are for the members and not for the instructors. The Activities Director, Jennifer, has done NOTHING. As serious as it is...she should have contacted me. There should be a meeting between me, OPS manager and instructor to get everything communicated and baselined. I believe the instructor is a good person but has some unknown issue with me being in her class and whatever issue it is she needs to acknowledge and accept - and be held accountable. An apology is imperative or clean house with the spinning instructors. Even though it is "only a gym" there should be some semblance of professionalism. OPS Manager - can we follow up on this? This is beyond what should happen in a gym and I'll persist until there is a change. I've seriously had it with this nonsense and this needs not to escalate any more because as it is I'm not spinning which is what I LOVE to do so clearly the instructor is winning. This is beyond upsetting to me. This Tuesday night 6:45 PM spinning instructor has no boundaries. Fix it!

Started at this gym before the change over. Everything now is very clean. I always seen people in there cleaning which is great. Staff is generally friendly. The equipment is from the gym before which I actually prefer to the new stuff with all these pulleys and extras. Great gym no frills go in get your sweat on and get out, by far my favorite LA I have been too.

Expect the usual fitness stations with Cardio, free weights & machines. Some additionally will have pools & basketball courts. Overall a high quality establishment that caters to almost any style of individual fitness or strength training (not including cross-fit) Except for peak hours after work, these usually large facilities provide all you need including personal trainers, changing rooms, personal lockers (bring your own small lock) and child care services should you need them.

Okay gym but very much outdated for LA Fitness. Plenty of equipment but the bathrooms are terrible. Also, for so reason they always mop and vaccum between 5 and 6 so the busiest time of the day.

Don't like Michelle as she spreads gossip among members and instructors and makes people uncomfortable in her class. Drama among instructors should be INTOLERABLE. Please give us a change. I am absolutely disappointed with the amount of disrespect I received from the manager Natalie at this gym. She was snobby from the start giving attitude to the guy that asked her to help me change the location of my gym. I had called customer service and they told me that I could have a one time courtesy location change because I bought a house and was moving. My husband has literally been trying to talk me out of continuing our membership because he was dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the gym itself. The amount of chlorine they put in that hot tub is disgusting. I said to Natalie that I have been told they would move the gym location for one time courtesy and she actually laughed and said no way. I was absolutely stunned by her aloofness. With all that being said I have canceled my membership and will continue on at Youfit. I have a $20 membership at youfit I can go to any location I can bring a friend and I have tanning. people please don't waste your time here.

Apparently if someone hits your car in their parking lot after you work out. They do not feel like it is their problem to help you with, do not join this gym if you value your vehicle or basic human decency.

Lied to me about equipment upgrade that was allegedly taking place around 04/17. Not sure why I'm still a member. Equivalent to a slumlord that never puts money into their property. Plain and simple this gym sucks. Find another.

I've had to come to this location due to my location being shut down for renovations. I tried to bring a prospective guest with me to get a free guest pass so they could give LA a shot, because they had been considering switching gyms. Immediately we were told he had to pay $15 for a day pass. While I was aware of that policy, I've brought a handful of guests in the past who were looking to try LA Fitness, and every single one of them were given a free 4-day pass. This situation was no different. But for whatever reason, maybe because this time it was a male and not a female, the male counter employee insisted he pay $15. A manager (presumingly) came up upon hearing our conversation, and still had nothing of substance to say. Both representatives were unpleasant and unapologetic, to the point where myself and my guest just walked away from the counter and left the premises. I've been going to LA Fitness for 3 years, and I've never experienced this kind of poor customer service in my life.

A comment must be made about the lack of professionalism regarding the spinning instructors, specifically Michelle and Tiffany. A good friend of mine is recovering from a serious illness and she was singled out by these two instructors to the point where she no longer goes to classes. They've gossiped about her and make her feel unwelcome in their classes. Is there a clause in her contract for this? Tiffany actually called her 20 minutes before class one day and told her she might not want to come to her class that day as the class might be too hard and "might not be the class for her." Tiffany also said something about "limitations" regarding my friend's fitness level. My friend was hurt immeasurably. A very serious violation to say something like that to a member - yet no write up was issued and Tiffany continues to single out my friend to the point where she no longer does what she loves. This completely crosses a line. Instructors should be encouraging members...and not discouraging them. Not acceptable and not what they are there for in the first place...to challenge...not to single those out while in class and those who may be getting back into shape after an illness or injury. Please get more spinning instructors! I know that this is just a gym but there should be some sense of respect in the way that members are treated, especially those who have premium memberships. Also, I believe it is also illegal to discriminate against a member, and in my opinion, the instructor should face consequences from the gym. The classes are for the members and not for what the instructor wants. Please fix this...

Gym has changed a lot over the last few months to year. Staff used to be a whole lot friendlier and engaging. There also was a much friendlier clientele. While there is nothing wrong with the gym, especially after the restructuring they did after a small electrical fire, the vibe here doesn't make me feel like I want to go out like it used to.

Worst la I've been to. Tiny locker room. Over crowded. But, this location does have two of the most In shape and knowldgable trainers I've seen at an la fitness. Hopefully they move to a better gym.

I went there yesterday, for a tour and a pass to try it out for a week.
At first I was interested, Matt was the one showing me around.I asked it I could view the ladies locker room which I did.
When I came out he made himself unavailable
and choose to ignore me and went back to his desk.
The lady at the front said that he would email the pass and gym information which I never received.
Really, is this your introduction??
I had my mind set to sign up but thank you

A little small for a gym and a lot of Bros, but not to bad. No military discount. When I ask if they had one the manager told me that they wanted to make it fair for everyone. Well not everyone can serve their country and that is why their are discounts for people who do.

Can't get rid of them!!! Send fax or letter to corp. to cancel my subscription?! Really!!!
Just cancel my member upon request, why do I need to come pick a printed letter that I could receive to my email and now need to run after a stamp to send this s*** out so someone in corp. will respons after a week or two to cancel.

When on a tour of the gym and I felt like I was getting a tour from the stale loaf of bread. I'm sure they might be a good gym and all but I would never sign up for membership here. I had previously on the Suncoast Fitness an hour before and I went running back there to sign up with them because they were friendly nice staff who really explained everything and didn't fidget and seem high while talking to us

Great location but LA fitness should be ashamed of this location. It's outdated with no amenities. Needs to be remodeled better yet torn down and replaced. If any other gym moves in the 4th street area, this location would non existent. People go because there's really no other choice in the area for a REAL gym. To be fair you can get what you need done in this gym but it feels like you time warped back into the 90's...
