The largest Anytime Fitness in FL and USA's 4th largest. This allows for big gym amenities plus fitness classes and small gym care and attention. Attentive staff, personal trainers, massage therapist, Theragun therapy and much more right in the facility.

This large Anytime Fitness has a variety of classes including Beast Camp, Power Pump, yoga, pilates, Silver Sneakers classes and more. 24/7 security cameras with a large variety of equipment, machines and free weights. Lots of weights for heavy lifters as well.

Essential oils, massage therapy, leggings and fitness wear, tanning, personal training, dynamics stretching services, 3000+ members, locker rooms with showers, handicap friendly, plenty of parking spaces, filtered water fountain; monthly Open House and Members Appreciation events.

Worst experience in my life in a Health Club. Upon joining the Downtown location with Chris who displayed outstanding customer service and consistency, was told by Dan (Manager) of this 34th st south location they would honor my "new membership" status and allow me to use the club during staff hours until the 30 day grace period expired. Than members get use of all Anytime Fitness clubs.
I even had my mother sign up (she chose 34th st due to location close to her home) When she signed up, Dan at 34th st south said "yeah! No problem to come in and work out with her anytime from this day on"... As long as its staffed.
As a certified PT through ISSA and being 48 yrs of age, (my mother 66 yrs old and just lost her husband) ....I'm trying to train her back into good health and wellness to be happy again.

This smart ass kid (no older than 25) who claims to be a "Manager" there at this club on 34th south gave me hassle as soon as I arrive with my 66yr old mother. Embarrassing me the moment I get there about my key faub "not working" and immediately calling Downtown location to confirm my membership! He told me "I'll let you do it this one time!!". AS IF HE'S DOING ME A HUGE FAVOR, and I'm burdening him to train there to assist my mother. He continued with sarcastic laughs out loud and embarrassing me more about me and my presence in there! This all could of been avoided if he'd simply dropped the bad attitude and displayed a little CUSTOMER SERVICE not to mention some respect toward his elders.

Conclusion: He made me leave the club (leaving my elderly mother alone without a clue to do in there on a NEW membership) So we both were forced to leave with no workout. Now she's so upset and embarrassed she doesn't feel comfortable even going back there.
I'm not certain...but I believe his name is Mike? He's the only young kid there with bad teeth and a horrible attitude.

Basically- If you're going to do something out of courtesy while one manager is working...it shouldn't change when a part time employee is running the club by himself! Especially when he has obvious guest service issues.

Reasonable weekly rate for visitors. I am a personal trainer and this gym has everything needed for a decent workout on vacation. Staff super helpful and friendly.

Very nice gym, a variety of gym equipment. Being able to workout 24 hours a day to fit your schedule and the ability to go to any Anytime center in the country is a great convenience.

Dan provides great costumer service. The gym is bigger than most Anytime Fitness locations. Cost is also a bit more. It's adequate.

I have been a member of this gym since it was a Golds in the early 90's. I have seen ownership or management change 4 times. I will attest that since I have been a member, it is currently being run the best that I have seen. Contrary to what some people are saying here, the staff is extremely professional and courteous and the equipment is solid. Also, contrary to what someone else said about there being no squat rack - there IS one ... in the corner by the restrooms. Additionally, the classes cover a thorough plethora of fitness interest and discipline (I don't do the classes, but my daughter does). I normally don't write reviews, but some of these comments on here made me feel compelled to speak up - as it seems like there is some misinformation being thrown around. It's a GREAT gym and I would highly suggest it.

Great gym with plenty of equipment and free weights. Reasonable membership fees and no contract. Trainers available with monthly plans. Tanning also available. Many options for group workouts (spin, yoga, etc.) just ask for the schedule.

Big gym with a lot of old equipment. It's more of a retirement center. Senior citizens gather to chat and take over your sets if you happen to walk away for a second. They come to chill and sit on the equipment for 30 mins and stare at the wall. Gets very annoying day after day when you're trying to get a solid workout in. But that's Florida! There are many convenient locations throughout the city.

The grossest, filthiest, most disgusting gym I have ever been to in my life! The soles of my shoes got stuck on the elliptical machine foot rest - that is how dirty they are. Its a shame that they get to carry the franchise name and drag the name in the dirt.
