Nice gym. Sauna don't work. Locker room floor needs to be mopped not just sweeping.
Love this location. Personal training with Brandon Morgan is LIT. He trains with fun, energy and above all, knowledge and care. He communicates and listens and creates an environment where I look forward to coming in and working out. The manager, May and training director, Akeem are also fantastic. Always helpful and awesome customer service. I appreciate you all!
Best Gym I've been to in my life. The lighting is great. I really enjoy how clean it always is and how friendly the staff is. May is the best manager also.
Really expensive for what you get. Good luck getting them to honor their free 3 day pass when you're trying out the gym for the first time. They will try to pressure you into buying before you use it. If the manager isn't there, they'll tell you to leave. They are open until 11pm on weekdays (when I don't have as much time to visit the gym) and they are open until 8pm on weekends (when I have the time to visit). This is so backwards. The only reason this business exists is because seven out of ten people won't even use their membership but will keep paying.
Beware of signing the contracts with the trainers. There is a $200. fee for just signing and it is a yearly contract with many hidden clauses, like when it expires it automatically renews monthly at a much higher rate. The manager admittedly said a customer should be notified by email when the contract is expired, as they notify every promotional sign up by email but this was a 'corporate decision.' Mine overlapped just before I went into a frozen membership for 3 months(out of state ) and they still did not alert me when I went to freeze the membership.
Very, very poor customer service with constant changing of management. Stick to the basics and double read anything you sign.
Amazing gym but always super packed. The machines are great. The pool is great. The basketball court is great. Just always packed with people. Forget about a relaxing workout, it is all about flexing in front of hundreds of ppl.

Ms. Silvia in the kids club is the such a caring childcare provider. She truly takes pride in what she does. Always bringing in new toys and books for the kids. Very engaging and positive with the children. As a mother of two small toddlers it makes me feel 100% safe leaving them with her and knowing how much she cares for them. Keep up the great work Silvia!

Bait and switch. Lied to me. Changed the due date. Keep charging my card even after cancelling. Cancelled one account keep paying for it. Cancelled all and still keep paying. Stay away from this place. I want a gym with an accountant. This is nothing but a headache. Wrong amount billed. Multiple cancellation confirmations on hand. Managers do not return a call. Very well organized theft. Watch your account activity people, they scam you. I'll be calling my bank to stop payments.
Update: finally one rep in corporate was able to trace how/why my card was being charged even after cancellation. At first they blamed my bank for changing number on the card or expiry date because they were not able to find a membership attached to my card. We all know that if a number changes then charge will not go through. Besides nothing has changed.
This rep traced it in one of their systems after i lost all hope but he was good. My card was attached to somebody's membership or so i was told. I dont believe it. If it was then why was it so hard to find why you charging it.
Bank said it was manually entered every time at the gym. My case was resolved. La fitness refunded the charges and my bank put a stop payment on them to prevent any future attempts to charge my card. Although financially it is resolved im still bitter. My time is precious. Watch your cards for suspicious activities people.
FRAUD ALERT. Do not sign up with them for a family plan and furthermore for any plans. We did. They ended up charging two cards at the same time instead of one. Both cards were paying for the same membership. Now when investigating they are unable to locate an account associated with the credit card they they keep charging. They cant stop it because they do not see an account associated to the card while I keep getting charges after all accounts have been closed. We already confirmed that card is not frauded and charges are from la fitness. Brought statements into the club and faxed to corporate. What did that solved nothing. Had a three way with the bank.
I recently had a bad experience with one of the trainer Justice he tricked me into signing a contract for personal training by telling me I can cancel anytime I wanted. My husband and I went to cancel the contract after my surgery because I could not afford to pay he changed his mind and told us we can't cancel, it we did we will have to pay half of the price. I do not think it is fair. They are too greedy getting the money out of anybody pocket they do not even realize how ugly that make them look. So greedy and insensitive.

LA Fitness in Pompano Beach is one of my favorite gyms. This location is clean and has the most modern up to date equipment. You do not need to worry about ever feeling isolated and lonely in this gym because the moment you walk into this place you feel the energy. The classes and instructors in this LA Fitness facility are exceptional. The Sales team is by far the greatest. The sales team member Sean is by far the best. No high pressure sales tactics. Once you become a member the entire staff is ready and available to help you reach your fitness goals. All of the areas are meticulous and clean and well kept. The swimming pool area is one of the better ones for a fitness facility in the area.

I like that they have the sauna, hot tub, and pool. Clients dont put their free weights away and a lot of the staff dont seem very happy. That's just my personal experience.
Terrible dude that use glasses, has no eduaction. He works at front desk and never said anything . His looks like having a pain or been missing a check payment. Supost to SAY HI ,WELCOME, GOOD MORNING OR WHATEVER,makes me and my guest feel terrible,plus stafs are perverts and do not wanna come back there.

Justice at the front desk and May at the customer service desk exemplify a positive and welcoming attitude that reflects LA fitness entity. The workers also do a well job towards the upkeep of the facility

It's about 15 degrees hotter than most gyms (way too hot), poor selection of free weights, and the wifi hasn't worked in months despite notifying staff multiple times (no, it isn't just my phone). For the price, I would expect more. Only gym near me and is clean so I go here.
We joined today. The GM May was great and got us signed up within 15 min.
As most LA Fitness locations this is another very crappy one. Dumbells scattered all over the place, pairs don't match or are left somewhere hidden, nobody enforce putting the weights back in the rack. Gym is always full of people who have no idea what they're doing. The gym doesn't care, it's a cheap corporate. They only care about numbers. Equipment life fitness is very low quality and not taken care off. For example, the incline chest press in the free weight area is missing the seat height adjustment knob for several months. Clips to secure weight plates on bars were all stolen. Clips to hang handles from cables were stolen. Never replaced, never secured and because they sell membership to people that shouldn't even be in the country. So far, just another dysfunctional facility.
P.S. I saw one of the female trainers one time on a Friday night drunk at a Denny's eating like a porcine. That's sadly and american personal trainer.

The best gym. Very clean, service is great and the gym smells good. Best gym to join they will help you get a good deal.
Worst gym in the history of ever. Lazy, rude employees. I go at 5 a.m. right at open, place looks like a hurricane hit it. Weights everywhere. Managers don't care. As long as they sell personal training with trainers that took a weekend course and look like they need a trainer themselves. If I could give negative stars, I would.
LA Fitness has an army of salespersons/ personal trainers who seem useless for the most part and make working out as unpleasant as possible. I seen incredible ass kissing and on the other hand, very rude behavior. Like most people, that work for minimum wage or close to minimum wage, they think, they are the smartest ones out there.

Never seen cleaning lady vacuuming or mopping the floor yet.
Besides, the cleaning lady that works in the morning shift can be disrespectful too.

I am so glad they opened up this gym in Pompano. It's big, it's clean. And the members are much friendlier than Fort Lauderdale. I live in Fort Lauderdale but make the trip to Pompano. It's worth it.

Lovvvvve this new location. I like that the weight equipment is upstairs with racquetball and basketball court. Alot of equipment options and great staff.
Nice gym. It's newer and the crowd is NK or too bad during the day. Spin classes, yoga and a few bbq more
It's really a shame I have to give two stars because the gym itself is beautiful and has every machine you could ever want or need. However, all that wonderfulness is overshadowed by the incredibly lazy staff and management. The gym is a mess; dumbbells are never put back in the right spot so you have to go on a journey to find the ones you need, cable attachments thrown all over the floor, half empty water bottles left everywhere, not to mention the almost hour it took to even be acknowledged, let alone sign up and join. It would be nice if the staff bothered to walk around every once in a while to put things back where they belong and tidy up the place. It's a great facility if you don't mind working out in a messy and unorganized environment.
I came here a lot then the one close to my house because of its cleanliness and weights. The staff are really friendly and outgoing. They have good machines in there as well.

Update: despite the fact that all other businesses were open on third day after the hurricane Maria, the gym was closed for 15 days. LA Fitness did not grant any reimbursement or refund for the inconvenience. Once more LA Fitness proved how they suck at customer service
I use to work at a L.A fitness and usually told guest to have a wonderful day after they left, but when I left here I was stopped and asked for my ID card to be checked back in and a personal trainer requested that with no other explanation. If she told me some reasonable thing I would get it, but the whole thing was...odd. Just let a girl sweat and be on her way.
Best & nicest LA Fitness location I have visited and the management is wonderful, extremely helpful & fair with any issues concerning membership. Hands down the best fitness club in the area! Recommend to everyone! Thanks!
