I have been to several Barry's Boot Camp locations, and have generally found it to be a great workout and experience.
The staff at this particular location, however, are awful - they are inexcusably rude, and snarky. I came in this morning, precisely on time (8:20 for an 8:20 class) the guy behind the desk rolled his eyes at me and huffed (dramatic much?) and said he gave away my spot. No big deal, I know they want people to show up early, so I asked if I could move my paid credit to the next available class. He said 'that's not my problem since you didn't show up early' and waved his hand in my face. The other guy behind the desk did* eventually move me, but was pretty nasty and snarky about it, lecturing me like a child about showing up early for things (this was my first time at this location, and had gotten a bit lost.)
Look, at $30-40 for a workout, this is a superfluous luxury item - it should be pleasant! I don't know how they expect to stick around, long term, with attitudes like this, because I won't be returning.
On the plus side, the Midtown location seems well staffed with pleasant people. Guess I'm driving the extra 20 min round trip not to be abused by snarky jerks.
