Hands down one of the best gyms in the country. I've been to gyms in WA, CA and MN and this has to be the best.
Great gym for a more serious lifter. No snobbery here though. Staff is super-friendly. Gym is always clean. Equipment is very well-maintained. Love this place.

Great gym in the area. Large enough for all the equipment needed and space for personal WODs, but small enough to have a community feel. Classes (xift, bootcamp) are a solid workout whether your a seasoned athlete or just getting back into it. I moved across town last year and tried to switch to Orange Theory bc of convenience. While OT is great for cardio, I just wasn't seeing any changes in my body like I do with Xfit. Highly rec!

Absolutely love the gym jax! I moved to Jacksonville a year ago and was looking for a gym that I felt comfortable at, was clean, had friendly staff, and plenty of weights/cardio machines. This gym is the only one I found that checked all the boxes! Highly recommend! I've moved out of state, but if I could I'd move the gym jax to my new home!
Absolutely love the gym jax! I moved to Jacksonville a year ago and was looking for a gym that I felt comfortable at, was clean, had friendly staff, and plenty of weights/cardio machines. This place was a great Gym when I went there. I loved my trainer and the staff was so nice. However if you need to cancel you are SOL. I called and spoke to Sydney several times about cancelling my membership in September who informed me she was emailing me forms to cancel my membership. No email. I made a second call to her when she informed me once again that she would email me the cancellation forms. Nothing. Now I have collection calls about my membership. I called again and she told me my name was spelled wrong so the emails came back. I provided her with the correct spelling of my name and once again no email. I disputed the charges with my bank and now she says that they need to collect the last 3 payments in order to cancel my account when I have not been there in over 15 months. Poor Business. She flat out lied to me.

This is my first time ever posting a Google comment. But, I had to about this place, I have been a member of Bailey's for 4 years and other gym previous to that. But, this gym is legit, when I first went in the gym I was met by one of the coolest employees Sydney Earp and i told her that a gym is a investment body investment and if I was going to divorce Bailey's and LA fitness it had to be worth it. She let me try out the gym, and it was worth it. The gym has it all that crossfit stuff, body builder stuff, machine stuff. The thing that sticks out the most are the trainer's the real deal I can honestly say the best in Jacksonville. I mean they get you that look you want if you getting divorce, want to feel better about yourself, computation, and over all health. Plus, they work out all ages from 8 to 90. The people are amazing, the atmosphere is excellent, I tell everyone I know about this gym. The only down part is that there is only one because it is one of a kind.

Dropped in while visiting Jacksonville. Heard about THE GYM from a local GNC and I was not disappointed. They have everything you could want plus more! Doesn't matter your goals for 2018 you'll be able to crush them at The Gym Jax!
Extremely welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. The gym has absolutely everything you need for whatever workout you want to do. All the staff and owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. I have been in many gyms throughout the world and this one is up there with the best. It has a get in there, work hard and have fun all at the same time attitude.

The Gym is an exceptional facility with more than enough equipment, functional space and modalities. It has a great balance for all types of exercise enthusiasts. Group fitness offerings are varied as well along with a very popular bootcamp class. Truly something for everyone at The Gym. As a gym owner myself, I can appreciate the attention to detail, cleanliness and friendly staff. The trainers are focused on their clients yet approachable to everyone. It's nice to see them teaching multi-planer work and functionality-rather than putting clients on machines and counting reps. Very refreshing! Great job Vince and team!
This is a top tier facility with great members and awesome owners! This place is clean, huge and overall one of the best gym atmospheres in Jacksonville. Been here since last October and highly recommend this gym to everyone. The staff upfront are always positive as I walk in and this place really is the best part of my day.
We moved back to Iowa just over 2 years ago. Came back this week for vacation and went back to my favorite gym to work out. Couldn't believe the changes. The place looked awesome. Had every piece of equipment you could imagine. Love the new turf workout area also. Everyone there was extremely helpful. Definitely going to keep coming back here every time we visit.
Best keep secret in Jax, owners Vince and Bev not only run the gym but run most of the classes themselves and push us to our limits in each and every class. Incredible support from the entire staff. Always very responsive and positive crew at the front desk (Thanks for all the help Sydney!) best Gym I've ever been part of!
Big gym with a few unique features, including 50 yards of AstroTurf for sled work, tire flips, and more, as well as a pretty slick monkey bar rig. Free weight section is great; lots of space, plenty of benches, and an area with mats and bumper plates. I've never had to wait for a machine or cardio equipment- there are more than enough of both. Group classes and competition-caliber personal trainers available. Membership price is about average. No pool or courts. Evening hours could be better, especially on weekends. This gym tends to attract an above average ratio of serious body-builder types, but the crowd is by no means limited to just those folks.
